I always wanted to do something like this but never had enough knowledge of biology. Wrote a paper in college about creating an OS catered to life simulations. It was mostly fluff, but essentially just compositing cell simulations to form an organism. That was easier than the alternative of building my own Linux in the 2 or 3 weeks I had to finish

I glanced through the book and I like the set up.

I liked this book when I was first beginning. It gives examples in Python too and breaks it down with real life examples and not heavy Calculus based
