I don't understand the question, you can learn all of those things on your own, SQL certs and maybe R certs might be useful.Do you need a big data certification for knowledge of SQL, Java, Python, R, etc..
I was just checking to make sure. I’m just overthinking on what should I do next after I finish learning Python.I don't understand the question, you can learn all of those things on your own, SQL certs and maybe R certs might be useful.
junior dev issue:
She is the one of the reason it's not a lot of junior/internship positions.
If you don't know git or something then you hop your ass on StackOverflow/Youtube to look shyt up. Spend the weekend taking an online course on git. I couldn't imagine someone bugging me every 5 mins with questions ruining my concentration.
You from a top 5 CS school Google it. Unless the devs have some weird way they set up the libraries then yes you can ask about the special commands to pull the library or about missing dependancies. I've said this before on here, companies these days want someone they don't have to train. It is what it is.

I’m at the point in my career that I need to go another path in order to become successful. I’ve been mostly in just operational spots at various financial institutions over the years. I have no desire to go into management or sales (too much stress). I’m currently working at another major bank as a contractor where there is no opportunities to get hired anytime soon due to company wide cutbacks. For the past couple of months, I’ve started studying a lot of programming languages so that I can boost my resume and find a full time job again. I already learned SQL and macros VBA. I’m almost done learning Python and planning on to learn Java next after taking a small break. My goal is to try to get into a entry level data analytics or database role at another financial institution. Since I already have a shyt load of experience working at banks, I figure that if I improve my technology knowledge that should get me over the hump with finding something permanent. Are you learning to be learning or is there something you're actually interested in?
If you have the time to watch breh's video. Do you agree with his methodology for learning how to program?
1) Understanding the "Roots" (learn the syntax e.g how do I loop or print to a file)
2) Understand the Programming Logic (How do I make decisions, loops, read, write, calculate)
3) The structure (Code line, Functions, Classes, and Modules) -- Organized code when it's starting to get big. make code modular
@Obreh Winfrey I say this coming from I.T. background looking to adding programming to my skillset to into DevOps. I like his teaching style.
Replies from 4. Only gotten somewhere with 2, the other 2 asked for my availability but never responded. With one,I'm on the 2nd interview for an internship and the other, I declined because I'd have to travel an hour. It did over remote flex, but still not doable. I'm happy with the response, so far, because I only just signed up.Has anyone gotten anything off Angelist, cause I get the worst response to interview rate on that website.
Data structures is one of the most important classes you will take to prepare your for job interviews. Learn that shyt in and outSo this semester I've got Computability, Data Structures and I'm going to be learning Machine Code and Assembly. If y'all have any tips or resources so I can get good it would be greatly appreciated.
Computability course is going to be a bytch because I brain dumped all of my discrete maths knowledge over the summer smh.

real shyt tho. I had to take that class twice cuz I thought I could just miss a day here and there and then just catch up...nope lolEvery college calls this class something different. I think it's the one with Turing Machines and Finite Automatas. My advice would be to go to every class and copy down all the notes.
Some classes you can get through not showing up or paying attention but it's not many resources on the net you gonna want to pay attention and please practice. Once you finish that class you won't have to do that stuff again. Algorithms is much easier well sorta it's less theoretical.
