Quick fact though:

Romney didn't make the tax laws, nor does he control them at all. :pachaha: Is he supposed to voluntarily pay more taxes or something? Let's be reality here.

No doubt, but it looks really bad to preach about everyone paying there share when he's paying a lower percentage than most of us. And it's strongly suggested he's hiding bread overseas in tax free safe havens.

I hate politics, but republicans are so against paying for social services for the poor, yet they Are all pro life and all about bringing unwanted kids into the world to suck off said social services.

My god, you're dense.

What's wrong isn't that he's paying 14%, it's that he doesn't see anything wrong with it, thinks the wealthy need more of a break, and is running for an office which would allow his beliefs to become policy.

Well, Warren Buffett talked about that not too long ago. Taxes on investment profits are taxed at a lower rate than earned income. It's not a crime. It's a tax loophole.
The US government should go to flat income tax rate for all so that everyone, poor, middle-class and rich pay the same percentage. The creation of the graduated income tax rate caused people to push for all these exemptions which are really loopholes.
Flat tax, no exemptions, no loopholes.

Anyway $13+ million in 2011??? That's a lot of dough.

Yall do get taxed the same.

It's just that supplemtary income(bonus, commission) is taxed at 25%.

If you get the supplemtary income in the same check as your normal pay. Your withholdings and state taxes are taken out of the total( which will put you in a higher bracket)

Commission isnt taxed at 25% i dont know who told you that..

They are taxed at 36-42%

The majority of people in certain tax brackets think they have "the worst of it", this isn't unique to Mitt Romney. Ask the poor about taxes, and they think the rich should pay a higher percentage because they can afford it and they get all the breaks. Ask the rich about taxes, and they'll tell you that they pay more in taxes than most Americans earn in a year, and they pay more than their fair share.

But apparently the people who are in office now see no problem with what he's paying seeing as they reserve the right to change things if they wanted to.

So,who are really mad at. Romney for following the law? Or the people who made it?

You all like Republican bashing so much that you don't see that it's both sides fukking you. :pachaha:

Lets say it like this. Y'all are cool with Romney paying less taxes than say a comparably paid pro athlete even tho they made the same amount of income???!
It's not a matter about what I'm cool with, but y'all clearly refuse to see you're getting played by both sides of the equation here. Romney didn't make the laws he's following.

The people who are in office now have had the ability to change such and haven't, so they are obviously cool with it too.

Quick fact, the main function of the job Romney is applying for is to use tax dollars in way the brings the highest return on investment for the US citizens.

See below.
Ryan wants to eliminate it

Bush cut the capital tax from 20% to 15% in 2003.

This tax cut has cost US $71 billion dollars every year.

Imagine if that $71 billion multiplied by 9 years was being reinvested back into the economy :whoo:

This money could be research grants, scholarships, infrastructure, etc.

Instead it's being used to pad the pockets of the wealthy:beli:

I already acknowledged politics is a scam. Both dems and reps are in there to rob the taxpayer blind. But Romney acting like its no big deal is some bullshyt if he's Trying to convict people to vote for him. That's all I'm saying.
