Huge amount of the revenue in social media is generated through advertising/ endorsements they become huge vehicles for large TNC's (trans national corporations)... no lie I would give up my balls for $3billion.

The article says that they have plans on monetizing the app with "in app purchases". They mentioned a Chinese app that makes like $11M (yes Million) a month with in app purchases like "digital stickers" and things like that.

If they were to pull $12 million a month, it'd still take them 21 years to make 3 billion
