Doesn't Gaikai have more than 300k servers? I mean, they have to have right?
theirs 200k servers in chicago alone, Azure as you alluded is one of the biggest cloud infrastructures in the world. MS made a billion in revenue off of azure last year one of their most flourishing businesses. Azure will be useful for small computing task such as enemy AI, baked lighting, drawing distance, severe structure etc. stuff that the CPU in both systems will struggle with over time. games will essentially be online only in a few years. Games like Skyrim could use this shyt, its damn near unplayable with the current AI response setups. as far as how powerful it will be idk, we will find out in 5-6 years going to be a long generation i think it may become usefulYall still believing those cloud computing huh.
MS is adding 300k servers for cloud based computing. It already exists for them and has been active for 3 years under Windows Azure. They are just going to use Azure as part of Live as well.
While Azure could help in theory with "some" computational tasks, it's not going to "triple" the processing power or some of that nonsense the MS suits were saying or make the Xbox One's power > PS4 power.

lol no its not even in the top 10 as far as cloud servers.
Everyone one won't be connected to the "cloud" all the time.
The fact you won't even be able to play unless you have Internet is horrible enough
Sent from my HTCONE Suckaz!!!
Link bro, I'm genuinely curious.
Breh, I used to run in Halo 4 matches all the time when it launched and everybody used to get horrible lag. I've seen people playing Halo 4 on their own shyt getting teleporting players and coop BEEN laggy since Reach days. Stop.
I don't have problems playing other online games but the flagship title is laggy as hell but that's due solely to my connection?
Sonys thinking of splitting up their company infrastructure , don't really have the cash to invest in a proper cloud network. gaikai is good enough for them IMO
Have you seen Fatboi1's actual speedtest results? Why would I be mad for? I have an A rating, and this is on wifi with my piece of shyt laptop that cant handle youtube vids: first try.

Playing online and not having to worry about lag lol I play on wifi with my xbox too, and I have never had problems with lag on halo 4...gears of war one on the other hand
On a serious note, even if you have the best internet as far as how much you pay it can still suck if you are in a bad location idk why, but my homie had the 50 Mbps $100 internet, and he always had connection problems, cuz he was in the hood maybe idk, but something about something I forgot, but yeah its not always about how fast it is, also, your router can play a part in it
Still at your B Ima call you mr B from now on
Have you seen Fatboi1's actual speedtest results?
Bruh, all your doing is repeating known lies as fact. I heard one lame fu ck say on IGN I think about how they catered to america and now your using that? Does the rest of the world NOT HAVE CABLE? You can watch cable TV via the xbox 360, the feature was made available in the UK years before the US finally got cable for xbox. But now somehow the UK wouldn't be able to use what was shown so far? Thanks for clearing that up even before M$ said a word about it. And why would they need to clear that up, its common sense if you not on some fanboy shytread that shyt.
Spinning off their movie division (Columbia Pictures) and music division is
They already make enough money. Would be interesting though.
Anyway,
Since the PS4 has a pretty solid hardware strength over the XB1, there isn't any need for cloud computing. shyt, they had cloud computing this gen on the ps3 (folding at home, ps3 server rooms), so the idea isn't foreign. It's impact on gaming won't be significant since the hardware of the consoles are the primary drivers.
All joke aside, graphic/power wise will be like the ps2 to the OG Xbox with the XB1 looking like ps2 games the ps4 lookign like the OG Xbox in comparison.
The used game thing, while bad, isn't the real killer IMO.
The fact that you pretty much can't use the Xbox One unless you have an internet connection is VERY BAD. They need to clarify this shyt quick. And not in interviews after their E3 presentation. They need to address this shyt to the world onstage. Most of the features as it stands are only for US consumers. And it just seems like a big fukk you to the rest of the world. Now if MS is aiming strictly for US, that is one thing. But we know that's not true. To pretty much kick offline consumers to the curb is a HUGE gamble.
