Think about it, if an actor's pretty average/unknown than comes with a great performance out of the blue it's a pretty good chance he's getting nominated/winning but leo's always so good he's just held to a higher expectation...

Honestly I think the guy is overrated. He's been in a lot of great movies but I'm just not into his style of acting most of the time because it doesn't seem natural. He doesn't seem like a natural human being in most of his movies. Whats Eating Gilbert's Grape, The Basketball Diaries, and even The Departed are movies where he does have a more natural approach though. Its movies like Catch Me If You Can, The Aviator, Inception, etc. though where his performances seem like a guy whose acting and he comes across as very choreographed.
