So why exactly did the broncos take a knee with 35 seconds left/2timesouts+manning?

i just got back to my crib and i dont see no threads about this so i gotta ask

:wtf:

i really didnt understand this decision, instead of going for it, why would u take the knee to go to OVERTIME and risk the ravens scoring a TD in their first drive?

I thought to myself about it and figured maybe manning couldnt bomb it so he rather take time to rest his injuries? i really dont know and this shyt really confused me..i thought they had a great chance under those cicumstances..

if im missing something here then school me cause im here like :mindblown:

I hate when teams do dumb shyt like that. And dont give me that "trust your defense" shyt. U mean, the same defense that just gave up 35pts?:what:

yea i dont get that shyt

how can you trust a defense that led you to overtime? especially when you playing against a dude like flacco who got a cannon arm and two great receivers in bolding/smith to catch the ball..plus having ray rice running it down your throat

seriously we was there like :what:, it makes no sense to me..i wanna make sense outta this because these dudes are suppose to be professionals and i've always been under the impression they know wtf their doing

his rationale would prob be that he has the second best defense in the league...but goddamnit, u need to go in the flow of the game...they were scoring all over u, u need to let ure qback make a play

This is the same coach that kept Jake Delhomme as his starting QB for as long as he did. Fox has always made some dumb decisions

exactly, you gotta go with the flow. ravens had a lot of momentum and it seems like the broncos were on some ":smugbiden: we got this" type shyt..them fans were dead ass gangnaming style mad fukking hyped to end up losing :snoop:

Peyton was carrying that team and they end up not believing in his skills? i would rather take my chances with him then depend on the defense that let the ravens score 35 points on ya ass

it made more sense than you think it did breh.

Attempt to win the game, risk losing it...Denver had to go 80 yards in 31 seconds or go to Overtime

where you have the possibility of getting the ball first, and scoring a TD...and winning

and even if the Ravens get the ball first, they still have to score a TD to actually win.

By going to overtime, the broncos effectively gave themselves a better chance to win the game.

y'all acting like it was a fukking cakewalk or something....80 yards in 31 seconds is doable, but c'mon now.

christian ponder got a fg out of 14 seconds from their own 31. it was just poor in game coaching, in a league thats full of ass coaching decisions in game. it really is unbelievable how bad these coaches are when faced with crucial in game decisions

:comeon: joe montana wouldve took that challenge right away and try his best to AT LEAST get in field goal range and win the game. Think about it, 31 seconds left with 2 timeouts and a elite QB is the shyt legends are made out of...manning shouldve gone for it, i think it was his best chance of winning instead of going the mathematical route and assuming they have a better chance in overtime
