The only American sin that hasn't been repaid. The Japanese who were put in internment camps received compensation. The Native Americans, even though they were destroyed to near genocidal levels, today have their own nations and own land. It's like America looked at slavery as if it didn't exist and they just don't give a fukk about the descendants from it. I usually don't get worked up about it. It is just the way America is. Hate runs very strong in this country. And then you have people who want to say bullshyt like, "You have never been a slave, forget about it" But they can trace their family linage back to their European ancestors while people in my position can't go further than great grandmother. It's too late for apologies or re-writing of history. Success is the only option. So that we can never be slaves ever again.
