So why are we pretending that watching Empire and Scandal are a bad thing?

I have no problems with Empire and Scandal themselves. Im more of a Game of Thrones and BoardWalk Empire guy myself. HOWEVER, my problem, like many things i hate, is their fans floodding my FB and twitter timeline with the nonsense. Why cant people watch and enjoy a show without flooding social media with their opinions on it during the show? No really.

Ive realized i usually dont hate something until i come across the people that love it that annoy me. Especially in SPorts. I hate NY Knicks and NY Jets. Hate them to the point where I get far more joy in watching them lose than watching my own teams win. People say I just hate NY as a whole but it's not. I cant stand typical NY dudes by i looove NY women. Im also cool with a lof ot NY Giants fans. But having met Jets and Knicks fans when i was in High-school and college really made me hate these two teams with a passion.

I've watched 1-2 episodes of each. Other than wantin' to support Black actors/actresses, I can't come up with a reason to watch either show.

I'm not into the story line of either. And neither shines a positive light on any of the Black characters. I couldn't even get into the music on Empire.

because they are shytty shows that pretty much rely solely on stereotypes to be successful

Anyway, this white dude im cool with at work watches Game Of Thrones, Vikings AND Empire religiously. He and I are the only ones that are into Game of Thrones and we talk about it sometimes.

He and my other coworkers who watch Scandal and Empire always be talking about it in the office. I think of the group that usually discusses those shown im the only one that doesnt watch Empire or Scandal. I dont like Scandal. As for Empire, i havent had the chance to check it yet. I am however the only person that was into Boardwalk Empire in the group.
