Nolan Ryan is probably the most single overrated played in the history of baseball. IMO. He was a very good player, but he was much more a freak of nature for his ability to stay healthy than for being a truly GREAT pitcher. Sure, the strikeouts and the no-nos are great...but he's also the ALL-TIME leader in walks. By a fukking MILE. Seriously, he 52% more walks than #2 on the list
So the f*ck what? His numbers are still better than a bunch of names on that list era, era+, strikeout, cg, sho wise etc. but lets just focus on the walks.
