i disagree. this video points to a larger issue in the black community that we sometimes like to ignore. The celebration of ignorance should not be common place. This type of behavior, should NOT be shared to the world and should be ostracized. Just proudly displaying stupidity, and no one sees an issue w/ this?:why:

Social media is a celebration of ignorance damn near in its entirety.

Just like when people talk about things getting worse as far as violence, dumb shyt you see on worldstar, Facebook, etc.... Nah it's just more accessible to people now. shyt has been like that for decades, now everyone is seeing it

actually, many scholars compare our condition to nazi germany. not just blacks, but america as a whole. seriously man, study history and you'll see the eerie parallels.
Okay, give me some of the parallels between current america and nazi germany. This should be interesting. Remember, were talking about the black situation.

Obviously its harmful to anyone with 2 working brain cells. And at the same time bytching about it in a circle jerk of negatively isn't much better.

Offer some solutions and focus on what we can do to help things. This "black people are doomed :sadbron:" rhetoric is useless and people who embrace and accept this mentality come off as pathetic.

We're all grown ass men, figure out a way to get shyt done instead of standing scratching your heads while staring at the problem

i hear you, but before we can come up with solutions, people have to see this as being a problem. That's the point i think posters are making, that we're allowing ourselves to be entertained by our own ignorance. And i think the solution some were offering was total ridicule and shame and rejection of this behavior from the masses.

Do you have any solutions you'd like to share breh.

whats the point of "offering solutions" if people dont even see it as a problem in the 1st place?? Awareness is step #1. Example: most of us view music promoting and glorifying the genocide of the black race as "just entertainment". As a community, we must FIRST come to a mindset that this type thinking and the supporting of it is a detriment and is causing us harm. After we become "aware" of this, solutions can be brought forth. This goes with all of our problems. Awareness first, solutions next.

Whats progressive to you?

Lol @OP talmbout nazi germany :laff:

Do you guys read this shyt before you dap it?

Progressive blacks are those of us that aren't complicit in our own exploitation and destruction. We should separate ourselves from that segment of the population. Nothing turns individuals around like being ostracized, shamed, and alienated. In essence, that is the only way we are going to break the shackles of this self destructive culture we've embraced. And yes, we (black community) are in desperate need for a cultural/social revolution.

Yea and not only are we entertained by us but everyone else is as well ( hip hop reality shows, worldstar, and all that other c00nery buffoonery ). This site itself is a perfect example so its hypocritical even taken part in the nonsense that occurs here but arguably its a necessary evil because their isn't any other place, that I know of, that offers the same experience.

I don't have the answers but I lead by example. For instance, I happen to live close to some fine upstanding young men and woman that have no problem throwing garbage down on the ground like the world was created to be their garbage can. I started picking up all the garbage on my side of the block and after awhile of doing that the problem went away for the most part. People started realized that its dumb to do that shyt on your own property and felt a certain way about me picking their shyt up so they made the effort to keep their shyt clean. Now I could've been negative, went and started checkin nikkas asses out but it isn't worth the effort and I saved more time and energy taking care of it myself.

Point is stop focusing on the negative and focus on doing your part, whatever that may be, in helping get things right.

The people that see that its a problem already know its a problem. The people that don't see it as a problem don't know so how is it beneficial for the people who see it as a problem to sit, bytch, and have a "woe is us" attitude about things? answer is that it isn't.

its crazy how much you're underestimating the power of simple convo. Not sure where you're getting this "b1tching & moaning" from. We're simply exchanging ideas. I dont know about you but ive gained a massive amount of knowledge from here. You call it "bytching" i call it expressing and exchanging thoughts and ideas. Fact of the matter is, black consciousness IS on the rise mainly due to social media today. People are seeing pro-black videos and memes and having that :ohhh: moment. Thats all it takes. I definantly agree ACTION is needed but 1st awareness on a MASS SCALE has to occur. Strength is in numbers. The fact that threads like these are being made more and more is a sign of progress for us. We're waking up.
