So we're just going to ignore what the Obama Admin. has done lately?

where's the opposition?

I posted the story, and said I was a fan of dude

overall I think it's an interesting issue, with interesting arguments being made by both sides. I'm no supporter of NDAA, but I also don't think it's the boogy-man people make it out to be. and much of it is water under the bridge, so I seek to find the middle, so I can have peace of mind and move on with my life

No offense but its naive to expect ppl to jump ship cause their candidate does a single thing they dont like. It sounds like idealism runs your thinking, pragmatism runs mine. :yeshrug:

He didn't say anything out of context. I don't think anyone in here is defending Obama's position. I don't agree 100% with what Obama does, as do others here...

But like he said in an earlier post

It's not a top priority make-or-break issue for most of us, you solipsist nincompoop. Everyone isn't you...thank god.

This single incident, isn't enough for me to not vote, or join the Romney camp.

Indefinite detention is unconstitutional. If you care to argue otherwise, lay your points down. If not, keep moving c*nt.

It's unconstitutional. Obama himself has said that multiple times before he became President. VicVonDoom has admitted to it.

So now's here the argument from you guys.

"The fact that the President violates the rights and the law is not a priority for me. I knew when he was running as a candidate that he was going to break his promises and be a puppet. The fact is, that his opponent is worse than Obama so I'd rather pick the liar and puppet I agree most with."

This is bad but again the bigger issue is congress. As long as Obama is president he's goint to continue to pass these half-measures because he doesn't have the full or even half support of congress. It's a violation of our rights and inherently unconstitutional but I still agree with Obama far more than McCain.

:snooze: You make this same bullshyt thread every 3 months. When are you gonna get it through your thick skull that everybody isn't some uber-paranoid PTSD-stricken ex-military gun-nut Rorshach wannabe staring out the window with binoculars looking for black helicopters to whisk them away into the night like you? It's not a top priority make-or-break issue for most of us, you solipsist nincompoop. Everyone isn't you...thank god.

You shouldnt talk to another man like that. You know you arent built to say this demonic trash in real life. Stop it friend. Be more kind and less antisocial so you can make a friend for once, friend.

All I am saying is that this current behavior is unconstitutional. It may just be used for "terrorists", but is that a chance we are willing to take?

Look people, I understand that no President is perfect. My two favorite Presidents, Jefferson and FDR were far from perfect. One owned slaves, and the other put American Citizens in interment camps.

The problem I have is no one wants to be honest about it. Not even Obama himself. You heard the things he said on the campaign trail about what the Bush Administration did. You read what he wrote when he signed the bill. He's lying and abusing his power.

As a democracy, we have to take to task when our politicians lie and abuse their powers, no matter if we support them or not. It shouldn't matter if we agree with them or not.

These matters are of serious importance to an institution of governance that is dependent on a social contract.

Yep......

You can't be serious dawg.

Politicians lie all the time. :manny:

I guess we should also ignore all the illegal and unconstitutional crap that went on during the Bush Administration.

Should I also bring all the lies Romney has spread during his campaign tenure this year. You can't possibly tell me with a straight face that Money Mitt is what America needs. The guy's true agenda surfaces more and more, day by day. Did not see the tapes just released. :mindblown:

Do you not see the arrogant crap he spews on a weekly basis. :mindblown:

Hell yeah I'm all for a president who ideologies coincide with mine for the most part. Especially when he's at least putting forth the effort, the only problem is that he's being met by a powerful and wealthy opposition. It's not like he's using Cheney tactics by bulling people on the low to get, numerous things in secrecy. This president can hardly even wipe his ass in peace. :whew:

When did I say that? I didn't or don't ignore it. I think they should be tried for torture and war crimes.

What opposition did he meet when he asked the DOJ push for this ban to be overturned? Can you provide a source or some facts? Your opinions are fine friend, but can you provide an actual proof that this legal process was a result of Republican opposition or pressure?
