So we're just going to ignore what the Obama Admin. has done lately?

:snooze: You make this same bullshyt thread every 3 months. When are you gonna get it through your thick skull that everybody isn't some uber-paranoid PTSD-stricken ex-military gun-nut Rorshach wannabe staring out the window with binoculars looking for black helicopters to whisk them away into the night like you? It's not a top priority make-or-break issue for most of us, you solipsist nincompoop. Everyone isn't you...thank god.

Whoa buddy. No need to get emotional because I defamed your prophet.
How much is Media Matters paying you to be the Democrat's TLOL?

The evidence was laid out. Obama wrote, in his own words, the he had reservations about indefinite detention when the law was passed. He just recently asked for the ban to be overturned. This happened yesterday.

Those are facts. You spent a paragraph attacking my character and failed to address the points on legal grounds.

You're the Timbo of Obama dikk Riding. Bring the facts homeboy.

Signing a bill that you admit you don't wholeheartedly agree with? :scusthov:

*edit*

And I wish people just didn't put blind faith in any particular candidate. I mean, there's no way I'd vote for Romney, but it'd be nice if Obama supporters would admit he isn't right on every issue. A lot of things I side with him on, but I still feel I'm impartial enough to call him out on bullshyt.

We need more accountability.

Oh, and all his unprovoked insults in this thread before anyone even responded were?

You can't be like "Hey you dumb fukking brainwashed a$$holes come debate me respectfully and intellectually." TUH does that all the time.

Where did I insult anyone? I'm failing to see it.

You know you have no leg to stand on to defend his actions using legal or logical means.

I mean, do I need to show everyone here again the things you said during the Bush presidency?

Let's debate this issue on the Podcast Vic. Me and you.

You can spend the entire time calling me paranoid, and I can bring facts and the rule of law, and then I can read your posts about the Bush Administration verbatim LukeCage.

The media is quiet. The press won't ask about this.

The Republicans aren't throwing a tempter tantrum over this issue involving the NDAA.

because it's not much of a story. it's a temporary stay that lasts until Sept 28th

Facts.

From June 2008:

"Senator Obama is a perfect manifestation a September 10th mind-set ... He does not understand the nature of the enemies we face," McCain national security director Randy Scheunemann told reporters on a conference call, referring to the 2001 terror attacks.

Former CIA director James Woolsey, who is advising the McCain campaign, concurred, saying Obama has "an extremely dangerous and extremely naive approach toward terrorism ... and toward dealing with prisoners captured overseas who have been engaged in terrorist attacks against the United States."

At issue were Obama's comments Monday in an interview with ABC News. Obama was asked how he could be sure the Bush administration's anti-terrorism policies are not crucial to protecting U.S. citizens.

Obama said the government can crack down on terrorists "within the constraints of our Constitution." He mentioned Guantanamo Bay detainees, contrasting their treatment with the prosecution of the 1993 World Trade Center bombings.

Obama agreed with the Supreme Court ruling last week that detainees in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, have a constitutional right to challenge their indefinite imprisonment in U.S. civilian courts. McCain derided the ruling as "one of the worst decisions in the history of this country."

The Obama campaign countered with its own conference call in which Sen. John Kerry, the 2004 Democratic presidential nominee, and Richard Clarke, a counterterrorism official in Republican and Democratic administrations. Clark accused the McCain campaign of using "old, tired tactics ... to, frankly, frighten Americans."

Obama wanted to close GTMO. he even signed the paperwork. but then congress blocked his ass by saying he couldn't use federal money to do it

:snoop: I should have know better.

:obama: is a alright by me.

:obama:

“Obviously I haven’t been able to make the case right now, and without Congress’s cooperation, we can’t do it,”

It was a fittingly quiet coda to the effort to close the military detention center. For more than two years, the White House’s plans had been undermined by political miscalculations, confusion and timidity in the face of mounting congressional opposition, according to some inside the administration as well as on Capitol Hill.

The story is that he lied about being not supporting indefinite detention, not only as a candidate, but more importantly, what he wrote when signing the original bill.

The DOJ personally asked for it to be overturned.

Here's VicVOnDoom Again:

Yeah I feel exactly the same way. I haven't defended Obama's presidential decisions, but I have defended my decision to vote for his re-election based on a pragmatic view of the political reality we face.

But this makes me question whether I should even bother voting for him again. I understand facing the hurdle of 60 Senate votes to pass any domestic policy initiatives. This is just inexcusable. This is beyond the pale. How is this shyt even constitutional? When it's okay to detain American citizens with no legal counsel, we've officially lost our way. Anybody who defends Obama on this is completely brainwashed.
