I knew I was going be disappointed but I had to finish :francis:
When I saw who opened the door at the beginning of the eighth episode I tuned out. Legit got on my phone and stopped paying attention. My boyfriend kept watching and I heard some snippets and the entire thing was dumb as fukk, like I care about some old Karen and her boring marriage and how that led her to do what she did. Stupidest plot twist ever. Like instead of going to the cops and going to his wife he went to her house first? Really? Smh. Dumb asf.

The ending was pretty good too me. The whole point of "whodunit" is to throw everyone off til the final ending. Yall want to always be right when it comes to finales :gucci:
you do that by being smart with the set of characters established before the finale/reveal, not throwing in some people we never knew existed. that was incredibly cheap, plus the situations they set up with those characters - the husband escaping and going to their house, the kid going to a random address and getting himself kidnapped, a bored old woman deciding to catfish women with her coworker's picture....that was smart writing/storytelling to you? :what:

Pretty much all the whodunits do this shyt. I didn't say it was the greatest writing in the world but the "I binged the whole thing and chose the gym coach as the killer(or another character)- but it ended up not being them so fukk this show" is all I'm hearing in here. The old lady was established in the show in numerous episodes. Hell yeah it had dumb parts but I was still highly entertained. The little kid being the killer in Mare was a trash ending too but I still enjoyed that shyt and wasn't upset that it was one of the other set pieces/red herrings that I wanted to be the killer.

she was in the background, we had more interaction with the volleyball girl who was snitching on the coach than this lady. you're not really writing a whodunit by simply throwing a whole ass new person into the story at the last minute...that's a :troll:. they had more than enough characters already in there to still have a surprise - his mom could've killed him for all i care

I hear you but they went through every character as each one pretty much had their very own episode- and low key that was kind of refreshing and new to me in this type of genre. The old lady got her episode at the very end and ended up being the killer. You can label it bad writing but it also was a different twist in writing a whodunit as well which I liked.
