This shyt is getting old fast. They hyped this bum up from the Jets to Carolina and now 49ers. All you got to be is tall and white in the NFL I swear. :scust:

All signs to me are pointing to Brock starting barring a setback. They are talking about him as a he a starter barring a disaster.

They are using different language when talking about him and Lance/Darnold

FWIW Darnold took first team reps today. Makes sense since Kyle said they'll split first team reps

Signing DeAndre Hopkins is a luxury signing that does nothing for us. We are a run first team and the first 4 receiver positions are set. Not only that he wants to get paid and we are at a premium with cap space.

Being a run first team is only an advantage during the regular season. The NFL playoffs is an arms race. You need a dominant passing game to get to a Super Bowl in this version of the league and Hopkins would improve that by leaps and bounds regardless of who the QB is. Kyle is not going to be the HC to produce a Pete Carroll/Beli style SB run. The more stacked the team is the better.

I get what you are saying but receiver hasn't been a real issue for years. Hell last year aside you can make the argument we abandoned the run too soon in 2019 and 2021.

The larger question is can Brock Purdy (or any of our QBs) stay healthy.

I'm still in the "I'll believe it when I see it" camp when it comes to Brock being ready Week 1 :manny:

Even if he's ready to play, there's no guarantee that he'll pick up where he left off after a broken elbow. He could come back with a noodle arm for all we know

Arm already is mid

The injury probably makes it worse

theres no way they paying Nuk what he wants

and I think that possibility went away when Nuk indirectly shat on AZ as a staff, record label and a franchise
they dont deal with anyone less than pristine character quality anymore

I feel bad for Trey, because if Brock is healthy there isnt a way Trey wins the job over him

Using three first round picks to trade up for a QB and then playing him three games is something that gets whole regimes fired on the spot, but Kyle/Lynch are teflon off how successful they have been.

I dunno, in some cases it makes the arm stronger. I think at worst it'll be like it was before. I'll take accuracy over a cannon arm any time. Not comparing him and Trey, just saying his strength is his decisiveness with the ball over being able to throw it a quarter mile over them mountains.

You keep posting this but evenything I've read about his surgery is that he could even end up with a stronger arm, lol.
With Tommy John your arm can come back stronger in theory. Purdy didn’t have Tommy John which is a replacement of the ligament. He repaired his ligament which apparently is fairly new procedure so not many football QB have had it done. Something like 2 or 3 QB have had it done but they have all been backup type players, so one really knows how this procedure affects arm strength.

Darnold getting first teams reps :blessed:

Pretty much. 6 playoff wins in the last 4 years is more than any team during that span besides the Chiefs

The trade up for Trey’s looking like a big swing and a miss. But the team’s still a perennial SB contender and Jed’s making crazy money, so I doubt he’s firing Kyle/Lynch anytime soon. Especially after that Harbaugh fiasco in 2014
