It would make the QB position even less consequential for us. That's what we need. A team that a competent QB can get past the 2nd round in the playoffs and a pretty good one will allow us to fight with Philly. It's an arms race in the NFC now.

I don’t really care for grant but he has been on Kyle’s ass since day one on how he is using Trey. I remember him going in on Kyle during training camp last year for his qb power plays that they were running during team drills. He and his dad have been screaming that this is gross negligence that is going to ruin Trey’s career.

Signing DeAndre Hopkins is a luxury signing that does nothing for us. We are a run first team and the first 4 receiver positions are set. Not only that he wants to get paid and we are at a premium with cap space.

Even if he's ready to play, there's no guarantee that he'll pick up where he left off after a broken elbow. He could come back with a noodle arm for all we know
