Justin Tucker is one of a kind. If you get Justin Tucker sure its justified. But the odds are heavily against you. Theres a great chance he isn't even the best kicker of this class, and with how volatile kickers are he has as good a chance of being out of the league in two-three years as him becoming the next Robbie.

Nah I feel you. I wouldn't have drafted Moody at that spot. I just think it's a low stakes draft when your first pick is in the 3rd round comp range and you have an elite roster, so I don't really care if they gamble on a kicker. I honestly don't know what a great draft would have looked like for us. There was no highly rated guy at a position of need who was sitting there. And if we look at our recent history of players selected in those areas, they're not special. Tyrion Davis-Pryce, Danny Gray, Trey Sermon, Ambry Thomas, Mitch Wishnowsky...the only starter is...the special teamer. The rest aren't even contributors.

Seems they are content with what we have. Last year I was because we had no clue if Banks was worth a damn, and they ended up being right about him. I still have huge reservations about the right side of our OL but management is OK with it and we'll have to deal with it

There were a lot of good prospects tho.

And I think coming up with bad third round picks to justify bad (to me) picks is kinda weak rhetoric too. Why not talk about Fred Warner? I remember picking Mitch in the draft when Gardner Johnson was on the board. Sure you'll miss some and you'll hit on some, I'm just trying to articulate that this is a high risk low reward pick that doesn't maximize our already scarce draft capital.

We desperately need to hit on some high reward players after trading a kings ransom for Trey. A kicker ain't it.
