Season over. Bettman and the owners are playing hardball, figuratively speaking of course. Owners are going to lose out though in the long run. All the teams in struggling markets and low ticket sales are going to take a bath. The rich teams can wait it out. Pretty sad and pathetic.

like I stated before this lockout doesnt sting as bad as the one 7 years ago.Its happening at a time where the game and players couldnt be worse..If the the league were to close up shop tomorrow I wouldnt shed a tear
It's weird in that sense that I haven't really missed the NHL this year, it really shows you how :flabby50: their regular season has become.
The difference from '04 '12 is the KHL's existence. Players are getting paid in Europe right now and are closer to home. I wouldn't be surprised if the lockout ended, and a good chunk of players stay in Europe.
