Whos calling to bench Arod ?? We already saw what Chavez about .you said he should be more productive so he's been more productive than cano so you should be impressed :whoo: he also hit 2 hr against verlander . You really tsther see a lineup with a guy who hits .200 versus righties and can't field plus a guy 0-11 with 6ks? Who has a better chance of doing something

The way this team is playing no one has a chance of doing something but Raul late. Impressed, because he's been a bit less shyttier than Cano, '09 gets A-Rod a lifetime pass from hate from me but outside of 2 Yankees post-seasons he's awful. Does he have success against Verlander? Yes. But was it in the playoffs? No.

He had a hit and a loud out last game :rudy: Chavez has done nothing and noony can't field or hit righties so there is really no reason to do this .

I wouldn't call that a loud out. More like a sharply hit ball and the SS did make a good play to rob him of a hit. The one hit he did get came when the game was already over and it was against a lefty. He's been embarrassing at the plate. Despite all that, it's not all his fault, he's not the only one struggling, and other people do need be under intense scrutiny. But I'll be damned if I'm going to defend the guy.

They fact that they're willing to play Chavez and Nunez over A-Rod, shows how desperate the situation is. Sometimes sparks can come from the most unlikely of places.

But why start chavez they brought up his numbers vs verlander which are from the regular season:deadrose: so either regular season matters or it doesn't . :whoo: cause in the playoffs Eric has done less than Arod and so has cano unless we are counting canos regular session finish ( wait Yankees you said regular season doesnt matter ) its a scapegoating

I would say let it ride but the reasoning they using  regular season numbers for Arod don't matter vs Justin but Chavez register season numbers do not his 0-11 with 6 ks. Noony hits .205 vs righties and can't field yet cause Hughes is a fly ball pitcher its ok to play him? At least play nix who got some hits

It matters to get you to the playoffs, but 2 out of 7 post seasons with the Yankees has Alex done anything. Joe is damned if he does or doesn't. If he lets him play and he stinks again every question will be did he think about benching Alex. He benches him and all of the media can't believe it. Regular season does matter, but regular Alex and post Alex are 2 different people. Let him play but if he goes 0-4 again or a simple single with no one else doing shyt then what? :hmm:

1) Gardner is not going to put a ball in play vs Verlander but he,ll spoil enough 2 strike pitches that the rest of these robotic motherfukkers might het some idea.

2) Chavez shortens his swing against pitchers he can't catch up, I think he'll take that outer 3rd pitch and take it the other. See the game winner earlier this year in Det.

3) Might as well put A-Rod at short if Nunez is playing but :manny:

Verlander is going to be too amped up imo
