I dunno but I can say without any hesitation that Phantom Pain is one of the most fluid and engrossing games I have ever touched.
I've had it right at 72 hours and it's already in my top 10 - 15 of all time.
Kojima really delivered magic with this one.
As far as recreating that magic feeling, it's up there with San Andreas, Fallout 3, and Mass Effect 2 for me.
I haven't played anything that's pulled me in like this in years.

I don't have a next gen system, so I haven't played past 3, but I can get with MGS being a top 5 series of all time.
From what I've played, Mario, Zelda, Metroid, Street Fighter, and maybe Castlevania and Metroid are among the few franchises that are really up there with it.

Final Fantasy has had some gems (4 was a game changer, 6 and 7 are classics, and 9 is underrated. 8 was decent but marred by a battle system), but it feels like it's trailed off in a real weird direction after X.
