Yep a huge difference. shyt I own properties and have had a lein placed on one of mine due to being out of the country and the person I owned the property with paying the taxes a year behind. Its easy to get caight up you usually have to go to the tax treasurers office and pay with a cashiers check. The amount is the taxes plus penalty amount.

Now in Illinois if you are behind for more than 2 years your home goes up for auction. And others can pay on your taxes thus giving them the ability to take possession of your property.

Didn't someone mention that this lien was only 2 years old for tariq? If it is and cali laws are the same that maybe why it was only 2 years old.
