That's cause JC was waiting for the technology to become available to shoot which took close to 10 years. The technology is there now, so it shouldn't take THAT long.

But they shooting 3 movies all at once using more groundbreaking technology. They doing something that's never been done before. If they haven't even started filming and all 3 movies will presumably have long run times, it's impossible to finish all 3 by by next year. All I know is it will be something special when it's finished. Especially since they keep making tweaks.

Avatar better move up to Summer 2017 not back, it's already coming late as it is. I can't remember the last time I even watched Avatar.

I remember the first (and last) time I saw Avatar. It was in the theater and it was underwhelming as hell.
