Looking at GT, Wake, UNC, Duke, MD, UVA, BC there is no fukking way you can say the Big 10 ">>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>" academically. It's just not. I could EASILY point out the reverse with no issue.
You may not like it, but the USNWR rankings are the most respected rankings of the universities in this country. Don't kill the messenger...and if you go by their rankings....

USNWR are not the most respected rankings in the country. They are just the most prevalent. Why would I have to point to the ACC schools that I think are good when I'm just making a general statement? That's like saying, I said that the US is a better country than Brazil with no detail of why, but your defense is that I didn't also bring up Brazil's positives.
If you really want to have that debate then make that thread in HL, I had no intention of having that essay contest in the seum. The ONLY proxy you have for saying that ACC is stronger is your usage of USNWR which you falsely believe is respected instead of discredited as comedy...even after I showed you why. That's why you and @mastermind started deflecting and making specious arguments. As an ENGINEER you should know damn well that Big 10 is the stronger engineering conference for one...with or without Chicago.
Did you really pick the colleges you applied to based on USNWR? ACC pride means that much to you? I don't even go to school in the Big 10 anymore.

unfortunately, he is right. The athletics program has been a mess for the last 7 years. They added seats and lux seats to Byrd yet the football team nosedived at the same time. Comcast doesnt sell out anymore as well.
On top of that, the school's budget has had a BIG hole in it. Now that didnt stop Loh from building himself a new President's Mansion and all that, but the school is financially in trouble.

If the big east was smart they would go after byu now. Byu doesn't have that sweet deal that Notre dame got to be considered for the big bowls.
Byu got a decent bball squad and their football team is always bowl eligible and defense world class

Actually I took a look at the best Engineering schools in the country and started applications. Came down to Cornell and GT. GT didn't want an essay, so I applied during a weekend visit there.
And while the Big 10 may have overall stronger engineering programs than GT....we're still ranked the highest overall. Still got mad love and respect for Illinois, Michigan, and Purdue engineering though. PSU too.
But still......
And don't get
at me. USNWR has big time weight. You kidding yourself if you don't know this. Trust me, it does. 
Yea you know Louisville and Cincinnati are gonna want to bounce to the Big 12 or ACC as well.
