i understand his pops trying to look out for him financially, but fukk that. Pops is treatin him like hes 14 yrs old. at some point Klay is going to have to grow up and be a man and be in charge of his own finances.

How long is this "allowance" shyt gonna go on for? How is he expected to ever manage his own money when his parents are doing it for him? Pops aint out there on the court, Klay is.

This is why u have reputable financial advisors and financial planners to help u manage your money. Many times family and moiney dont mix.

People forget NBA players get per diem.. They get $106 dollars a day for food allowance through the union ( $19 for breakfast, $30 for lunch and $57 for dinner)..My cheap azz would be making ham sammiches and top ramen with the hot sauce and pocketing all the rest..

His dad's a fakkit for that.

he's a grown ass man. Everyone knows basketball can get heated from time to time

Yeah ok..... I garantee you this nikka klay ends up 10x better off then most players that make more then him.... Technically his dad don't control shyt... He's just delegating that "power" to him. And he's a smart nikka for doing it because even I know I'd blow that money so fast

a lot of you are going to realize that you were a dumb shyt at 23 years old.

and you would've been a lot dumber if you had millions of dollars in your pocket hanging out with dudes with even more millions in their pockets.

but still..

35k fine though..

he's going to be in debt for years :sadbron:

not ALL reputable financial advisors / planners are what they say they are

just ask the victims of Kenneth Starr and Bernie Madoff

if you trust a complete stranger more than your own father who has amassed his wealth and continues to live a comfortable life... i pity you for having a father like you do

Dog. That's why I prefaced my statement with "reputable." Meaning an actually good and responsible financial advisor. And what the hell are u doin, bringin up Bernie madoff for? :why: Thants an extreme case of a bad financial investor Obviously my example would exclude the likes of a bernie Madoff.. And what the fucc are u talkin about, bringin up my pops, like u kno him or somethin? :why: Are u high or somethin? U are making no sense

Bernie Madoff (before he got caught) was known as THE ultimate hedgefund manager and it was an "HONOR" to have him manage your money. How long did it take to find out he was doing some shady?

That's my point, you NEVER really know if your money manager is "REPUTABLE". You know what that word means right? Having a good reputation and Madoff, Ken Starr, HAD good reputations until they got caught.

YOU said when money and family mix, it turns bad... so no need to criticize a kid who has a father he can trust with his money if that's what you're lacking

Obviosuly I wasn't talkin about a dude like Bernie Madoff in my example. U can't modify my scenario in order to support your argument. There are plenty of reputable and responsible financial dvisores that DON'T scam people out of money.

And how do u know for sure if Klay can trust his dad with his money? How do u know that for sure. Klay doesn't even see his own money. His pops could be spending it on his own. And finally I can criticize Klay for allowing hi parents to control his finances. He is a grown azz man. He is going to have to learn how to manage his own money at some point

Hooooooooold up... you're really trying to convince me that Bernie Madoff was a one-off and an anomoly? There are SEVERAL cases like Bernie, he was just the cream of the crop. You would trust some pencil pushing executive with YOUR money more than you would Your own PARENTS (it is not just his dad) especially your Father who LIVED the life you are currently living and been around countless teammates and colleagues who went broke because of poor money mgmt?

You're dumb as bricks and I'm through with you.

Go ahead and manage your money with Lenny Jobbawackeestein if/when you ever have that much money to worry about.

Klay will be just fine living "the life" well after his retirement sipping pina coladas on the beach with his wife and his parents

Parents know their kids fam. They have 2 other kids that play semi pro basketball/baseball and they may or may not do the same to them based on their maturity. They probably know Klay would run thru that paper and then he'd be trying to move back in with them. Klay grew up with Ryan Sheckler, from watching Ryan's show on MTV years ago I can see that that area was a rich ass neighborhood and Mychal Thompson never really made real money in the nba and he's living better than Antoine Walker who touched over 100 million so obviously he knows how to manage money.

U are dumb and naive as shyt if u think that parents/ family members don't take atvantage of their kids money. I'm done roastin your weak azz "argument"
