Yeah because the average 20 something black athlete who makes millions is financialy responsible...:stopitslime:

And word, you'd be the exception

A lot of them are. What I don't get is why people keep dancin around this question: at what point does Klay handle his own finances? How long is Klay gonna be cottled financially by his parents. I understand his pops lookin out for him, but Klay submittin his game checks to his pops and getting an allowance is crazy. Pops should be teachin Klay not completley takin over.

There are tons of athletes that are in their 20s and are millionairs and are capable of managing their finances responsibly. But some of y'all nyggaz act like they don't exist. Are their athletes that overspend and are rinancially irresponsible, yes, of course there are.

But some of y'all have the position that parents should be the ones who ultimatley control the pro athletes money. And that may not be the best way. I know many pro athletes that have responsibly mangaed their money throughout their careers.

Klay is a grown azz man, and he should be a bit more saavy and should keep an eye on his own finances rather than allowin his dad to deligate where and how Klay gets his money.

He becomes a 30 year old with huge pile of money and life lessons from his pop instead of a 30 year old with a huge collection of cars and hard lessons from Freecreditreport.com

Privilege >>>> Experience belee dat

Why do they say that often times its the Preacher's children are usually the wildest? If you're logic was correct then Preacher's children should be the most noble.

There is too much to discuss when talking about how Poppa Klay's method isn't the most helpful and I don't feel like typing so lets just agree to disagree.

all I know is my parents got me a checking account at age 14, and taught me about banking as a freshman in high school. I'm talking about writing down all my purchases and writing them in the little checkbook ledger and reconciling it every month when the statement came. My pops made me do that shyt religiously. so by the time I was able to get a job at 16, I pretty much knew all about how to handle my meager finances and what not and always have a little money stashed.

Your kinda proving my point. I didn't read the article so I may be jumping to conclusions but if Klay's dad is just holding his money and giving him an allowance then he isn't really learning how to manage money.

When you were a kid they opened that account for you and taught you how to manage the money that was in that account. I am assuming Klay doesn't have access to his account.

I bought a Carbon 15 when I was 18
Ego.

The problem here is that people have an ego.

If i was in the NBA for 5-7 years and i had a chance to stretch that money 60 years until the day i die....u best believe I'm down with that. Don't care how 'embarassing' it might sound.

Yea cause it's impossible to teach your kid to manage his money without treating him like he's a 12 year old :why:

I would hate to be yall kids :pachaha:
