My brother's keeper
just wait until Collins checks into a game for the first time. even if he won't be needed (which he won't be like most 10-day contract players), the Nets will make sure to put him in a game just for media attention.

you know damn well all the sports networks and maybe even news networks will have a live cut in to show this "historical moment". hell they may even show Michelle Obama crying in the crowd.
He's already on the court breh. No practice or anything. This team is about making headlines more than anything

Damn, dudes are legitimately angry about this. Hate it or love it, there's been a gay identity/minority in this country since the 60s and 70s. It's a big deal for sports (one of the last areas where being open about being gay has been acceptable) to have a gay player. For people not to understand that makes little sense to me.

That's neither here nor there. it doesn't matter. This isn't a story any people (outside of media and gays already invested in it) would care to give a fukk about. They wouldn't be discussing it, nor wouldn't have known of it at all, without the ESPN breaking news segment or the press conferences.

And thus the thread.

This isn't what the gay agenda is about. It's about the active efforts of the media to normalize and reprogram the masses into acceptance of not homosexual individuals (which would be righteous) but homosexuality in general. The gay agenda uses media groupthink and aggressive shaming push people to accept, or at the very least not speak out against homosexuality no matter how respectfully they may disagree. For example, I don't watch a whole lot of TV but I saw this commercial all the time during football season

A commercial to get a movement behind keeping people from hurting gay folks feelings. While leaving the public free to bash Christians, muslims, ethnic groups, political parties etc.

Where were the commercials during the Richard Sherman racial slander? Or the anti islamic attacks post 9-11.

Just keep playing dumb tho

Okay? If you want people to care about racial slander that's fine. I also think that should be in the forefront as well. But that isn't the gays problem, their defense and insistence that they should be accepted doesn't mean we don't have to care about other social issues. Why should I hold the gays responsible for the racial problems in sports and society. I do my part to try and discuss race in America and and subscribe to news that caters around the injustice of blacks in America. But I don't blame others for getting their issues covered more.

no people, care about it. No matter how you feel. I was at a dinner party and it was brought up and people didn't stop talking about it for a half hour. Just because you aren't interested, doesn't mean other people aren't. I could give two fukks and I'm over it but I understand it sells because its a topic lots of people think "matters"
How many of those people you were with would have been talking about Jason Collins if this wasn't the hot topic in the news?

The majority of them where female, probably non because they wouldn't be aware of it because they're not sports fans but you don't think women would rather discuss that then who scored a triple double last night? NBA is just capitalizing off making the NBA/NFL a soap opera. I don't give a fukk about it either and I wish they would cover real news as well But we don't have to make this an issue about brain washing and making our kids gay etc. That's my only problem, if people were to say I dont give a fukk and move on thats cool but there's no need to attack gays at the same time.
