And yes Austin is a better "worker" than Hogan but a lot of wrestlers were better than Austin in the ring but they weren't greater than Austin.
Hogan's impact was greater when accounting inflation and more eyes on the product in the 80s
Promo wise its about equal they both excelled at their styles.
Also wrestling was twice a month back then where in austins time there was 2 main shows a week and monthly ppvs and internet

Impact is a part of greatness the legend of someone lives on. Carl Lewis is considered the greatest track athlete even though records were shattered. Baseball players are probably way more skilled than babe ruth today but babe ruth is greater.

Personal preference I have HBGOAT as the GOAT(So does Austin)
But I have no problems with anyone saying Austin is the GOAT and@ anyone saying The Rock is the co GOAT. Wrestling wise or promo wise the Rock is no where near Austin's level. Austin can do the Rock's comedy stuff but can the Rock have an intense promo like Austin can? No. And wrestling wise they are not even in the same book let alone the same page.
I can easily name 10 guys who can do a better intense than the Rock, maybe more.
Promos is not all about telling repetitive jokes and talking about shoving foreign objects in other dudes buttholes.
