so is it even conceivably possible for anyone to surpass steve austin as the GOAT?

They see me trolling, they hating.....
Rock and Austin are the goats, the Pac and Biggie of wrestling.

Bret Hart and Shawn Michaels were more technically skilled performers than both Rock and Austin tho.

and Hulk Hogan is a bigger household name than Steve Austin. The Rock is actually more of a household name than Austin as of 2012 honestly. Austin is still my top 5 fav

When those NWO and Attitude Era dvds dropping?

:whoa:

The Goat of all Goats?

:scusthov:

but

HBGoat?

:lawd:

anyway Just wanted to say that :pachaha:

Austin is one of the Goats straight up.

Another tidbit you can add to your list is the fact that this motherfukker Austin carried a promotion, brought in ratings, and sold merchandise all while having a broken neck and not being able to work for a lengthy period of time.

I'd say right now it goes Rock, Hogan, Austin as the GOAT.

They are still the holy trinity though, well above whoever is #4 .

Rock's 2000-01 run is arguably bigger than anything Austin did.

Number 4 is...

bret and hbk were not better in any facet over austin.
austin was a better heel, tag, inring worker than bret.
hbk is overrated.
as anyone who watched nwa saw better moves and inrig work from a high flyer for almost a decade.

before hbk was relevent in the workrate/book lackinglow quality inferior wwf product.

plus bret even said austin was his top opposition and best inring comp, ever.

scsa is the protege to flair, breh!
nobody was really in his league and if you peep his body of work.

plus his ascension as well.
it speaks volumes, about how much better austin was than both of them.
nobody is seeing austin, breh...

NOBODY!!!

if scsa never emerged.
i would have never watched wwf programming ever again.

that is how good austin was.
like literally wwf was so awful,....
it was no need to watch it all, until scsa got going!

Hogan and Austin are two of the biggest stars in pro-wrestling history

Rock will forever be below these two

:what:

Austin birthed everything the Rock was able to achieve.

If ANYBODY in wrestling today has a shot at reaching Austin levels its Daniel Bryan. D-Bry:

- Gets the biggest pops of the night weekly
- Constantly entertaining
- Can make any stupid angle into comedic gold
- One of the most talented in the ring today
- Has a finishing move that can beat anyone
- Fans buy his shirts
- A believable underdog that you want to root for
- A believable heel that you would pay your money to see beaten
- Has an awesome catchphrase that's even used by fans in other sports
- Has paid is dues and survive the bullshyt from management that thought he was a "vanilla midget"

There will NEVER be another Stone Cold Steve Austin, but D-Bry (possibly CM Punk to a certain degree) are the closest we will come to that level of gully in 2012 and beyond.
