Embiid to Miami!
Embiid to Miami!
I was just talking about this in the game thread (maybe you saw that) but I don't see who runs Philly's offense or how Philly could play CJ and Seth together.Simmons for McCollum makes sense for both sides.
That's a worse defensive pairing than Dame and C.J. but Dame and C.J. don't have Embiid.I was just talking about this in the game thread (maybe you saw that) but I don't see who runs Philly's offense or how Philly could play CJ and Seth together.

That's not true. That center couldn't make them pay for putting Batum on them. Embiid would. Embiid also stretches the floor. There is a massive gap between Nurkic and Embiid. We just saw in Utah that having a dominant interior defender can't make up for having zero defense at guard.

Breh, we play Kevin and Trae backcourt. Both generally was in the negatives in the RS defensively, even more than C.J. ever was and Trae is in the same range with Seth and Dame on most defensive metrics. Sorry breh but C.J., Seth, and Green might have issues size-wise but having Embiid lowers their exposure risk. Now someone like Dwight is food with that backcourt but he's food against the PnR in general. Can you come up with a counterexample then, a case where a team had two awful defenders at guard but it didn't hurt them against good perimeter players cause they had an elite center?
Cause I'm really not seeing it. Seth regularly gets worked even with Embiid there. If Simmons wasn't there to take the best perimeter player then Seth and CJ would BOTH get worked. Do you really think Trae would have had the poor shooting night he did if he was teeing off on Seth or CJ every play?
And I still haven't heard who is going to run the offense either. It obviously ain't gonna be George Hill. If you bring someone else in to do it, then you're limiting the value of Seth/CJ cause now you can only play one of them at a time. If you ask Seth or CJ to do it, that's gonna be a downgrade in creation at the point.
And woulda gotten destroyed if you hadn't lucked out into facing fukking Elfrid Payton and Ben Simmons in the first two rounds, arguably the two most incompetent perimeter-scoring guards in the entire NBA.Breh, we play Kevin and Trae backcourt.
Not really. As long as the defense is set, we still aren't easy to score against and honestly, I ain't never seen a mfer improve so much on defense within a season as Kevin. He went from cheeks on that end to OMG, you kinda good. Trae is Trae on D. He at least gives effort in the playoffs and knows where he's supposed to be on defense. And woulda gotten destroyed if you hadn't lucked out into facing fukking Elfrid Payton and Ben Simmons in the first two rounds, arguably the two most incompetent perimeter-scoring guards in the entire NBA.
I mean Seth fukking Curry was the only guard in Philly's lineup who can shoot and he was dropping 22ppg on 62% shooting (60% from 3pt) on you. Derrick Rose half-washed and he was dropping 19ppg on 48% shooting (48% from 3pt) on you.
If Seth Curry and Derrick Rose are running a train on your guards despite playing next to a completely ass shooter/scorer, then what would an elite perimeter team do?
Tobias Harris for Kuzma and Dennis Svhroder
A big part of this is on the Sixers underestimating how good we are.Found a Philly sports talk radio online. They are literally killing Ben Simmons
One caller offered to trade him for a WNBA player
Another said he’s selling Ben Simmons plungers for toilet with a pic of Ben on the handle
Another called and said “Ben Simmons’ initial is B.S. so we should have known this all along”
Edit: Now they’re calling for Doc Rivers’ head too
