Nobody has done it on that level, before or since. Cube was just working on a different level back then.

Hip hop at its finest. They called it gangsta rap but DC is wayyy more than that. Dude was just talking about the ups and downs of south central LA, or any hood, USA. Nothing glorifying the lifestyle just telling you about the rise and fall of being in the streets, and even adjacent to the streets.
