So how much of a success has NXT been in developing new stars?

Yea.... I'm just gonna stop you right there....

I definitely dont think thats true from this perspective. Think of that like any other job.... at the end of the day cats in opportunities where they can.... dont just wanna get paid they wanna get rich.

Last I checked aint no Jobbers making $9 Million a year. Hell the average mid carder aint even making a million.

So Jobbers? shyt them niccas at best probably pulling $200k but still have to pay all this transportation, room and board, and food, along with med bills and a bunch of other shyt we probably dont know about that cut dramatically into what they take home.

The Belts and everything else mean something.... I dont think Miz was able to pull Maryse off the strength of some non existent swagger or anything else. Just saying.

We can use the saying "its a show" but its just like any other "show" where minor characters are always dying for the day they can get that bigger spotlight to make bigger career moves.

Parks and Rec was fake..... now think about if fat ass Andy never had aspirations to be a bigger star... this nicca wouldve never been able to become Star Lord and the new lead in Jurassic World. Dudes may try to pretend like the good and content..... but like any other job in the world these niccas in a heartbeat would take that top spot and to do that.... you gotta win matches

This shyt is a show, it's the circus, a play and a soap opera. I don't think Dwayne Gill was tripping off being Gillberg. I don't think Brooklyn Brawler or Barry Horowitz were trippin. I dont think Iron Mike Sharpe was like "fukk sting" when he took a L.

If you watched the Hall of Fame, Stan Hansen says, thank you to the carpenters. It's no shame in being a carpenter.

I don't believe those dudes are tripping as long as their part of the show, I don't think it matters.

then he obviously he isn't the rock 2.0.

stars make themselves stars.

if someone on rock or austin's level came up now, people would be watching.

People didnt watch wrestling for the rock and stone cold, they watched for the fukkery. Attitude Era was just one of those rare moments when timing met opportunity. Jerry Springer, Eminem, etc. The times were just crude and disrespectful.

People just dont like wrestling anymore. Just like they dont like Limp Bizkit or Tamagachi or whatever craze. WWF had a few brushes with pop culture. But it will always be a niche entertainment field.

No one star can change that. How? How could anyone possibly change that on a show that only wrestling fans watch. It's just a niche and THATS FINE!

Wrestling has always been star driven. You think the attitude era still draws with HHH and Ken Shamrock on top?

Also I don't think it's a niche product, I think in general people love wrestling. The "down periods" throughout history were always the result of a stale product. When wrestling is at it's best it can compete with almost anything and it has produced big time superstars on par with any other sport you can name.

No!!!

I'm not disputing it's a show!

What I'm saying that at the end of the day it's no different than any other typical employees at any typical business.

And probably more so in their industry!

I'm sure a cat working in customer service at say Google ain't tripping..... But would he/she love to move up into other departments and get paid more? Of course!

SNL is a show, tell me one actor you think wants to just stay doing occasion C-D level skits on that show, vs doing higher profile ones that will give them an opportunity to to move on to movies and etc?

Trust breh... More cats wanna be Hogan, Rock, Cena than Virgil..... Jus saying

Balor is certified until he retires just off the fact that he can always remind people that he was the first ever Universal champion, like Jericho with them "first ever undisputed champion" bragging rights

He came into NXT as a Jr. Heavyweight from New Japan who people had heard was good but only puro nerds had actually seen wrestle

Add him to the list.

Nobody views him as a star except Vince.

Nobody can see in him what Vince sees in him.

You can ask most adults..they said they stopped watching wrestling when Rock went to Hollywood and Austin retired. Lesnar, Cena, Blandy, Bryan, Punk, Taker, Cripple H, Shield, Nexus, Mysterio...none of them has been able to match their impact..thats why things are different.

They really should've ran with Sasha when she was red hot. They didn't even let her break Charles PPV steak.

That was the closest they had to a woman getting that organic movement going. That Brooklyn match put her on the map where it went from almost no one talking about her to her becoming everyone's favorite attraction overnight
