that's absolutely false, Black people were speaking out as SOON as the negative gangsta rap hit the scene, but just like now, White people were in charge of the music and kept paying Black people large sums of money to make self destructive music.

Chief Keef makes self destructive music and a White man offered him millions of dollars to continue doing so, and he accepted the money, because he was in no position to turn down millions of dollars.

People forget about Dolores Tucker and Seymour Butts going outside record companies with bullhorns and crushing gangsta rap cds with bulldozers in teh early 90s.

I haven't.

C Delores tucker was doing press conferences with republican politicians. She was dismissed as being out of touch, young black people(under 30's) of that generation unanimously sided in favor of Gangsta rap. Lets not distort the truth.

They have the largest demographic so they will always commoditize and whiten everything

That's not the issue, more so, is it possible for us to create a new genre of music? I'd say no because White people are "meta" and aware of Black American prowess for creating music and with that new awareness, they'd cash grab any innovative thing we came up with..

The Internet has integrated us all and White people have access to our culture in a way they wouldn't back in the day unless they went to our hoods, parties, music stores, etc

I don't want to get into right and wrong but this is just plan facts.

This just ties into us needing to progress economically to where we can put our money more into rap to assert our dominance in our culture.

I don't think anything has so negatively affected how most people view blacks as hip hop. It has made all of us look like criminals, degenerates, and hoodlums. Part of the "negative" stereotypes that we all have to deal with are reinforced with hip-hop/rap. It's so bad now that not acting like this is considered "acting white" and gets you shunned by blacks and non-blacks alike.

Not it doesn't. It gets you shunned by ghetto blacks

Them especially, but, especially while younger, kids are like "why are you even black if you act white" bullshyt. Or on the "you don't act your race" stuff. Plus whites seem to like the more "hood" blacks as their token moreso than the "white-washed" ones. All shyt I've seen/experienced.
