How about some storylines that make sense, interesting builds and more matches people want to see, that too much to ask? IWC are the only people that make excuses for years of bad writing in their favorite shows.

But this thing about what 'people want to see'... last night, the crowd went nuts when Cena brought up wrestling Taker at Mania. If you let the internet tell it, 'nobody' wants to see that. And 'nobody' wants to see Ronda Rousey. And 'nobody' wants to see HHH and Stephanie. And 'nobody' gives a shyt about Roman Reigns. But the people in the crowds who buy tickets say otherwise. I don't like everything WWE does or every show they book... but some of the things people complain about almost seems like it's just for the purpose of complaining no matter what. Whatever they book, there's people who are gonna talk shyt about it... and watch anyway at that :mjlol:

The problem with Steph not getting her comeuppance is because truth be told, we're in a soft-ass era of society. Even more than it was 15 years or so ago when people were being PC, but WWE could have a male talent put hands on Steph and everybody (except for the PTC/Bob Costas types) understood it was just entertainment. Now you got parents getting in their feelings when heels don't wave to their kids, people getting all tight about characters or promos being 'offensive', etc. Everybody hurts, and because of social media, everybody has an outlet to say how much it hurts them. If shyt was like this during Attitude, you would've never seen Stephanie in the Walls of Jericho, getting Rock Bottomed, getting Stunned, or getting Pedigree'd. And that's why today, we don't see any dudes getting moves in on Steph... or any male-on-female violence on WWE TV.

But I say all that to say this... they shouldn't have gone down that road with Stephanie's character because even though it builds her "Mrs. McMahon" character as a mean bytch that mistreats her employees, the only person who could fight back on TV without peoples' soft ass feelings getting hurt is another woman. In some ways, I think it'll help Ronda get over for being able to beat up someone who's been literally untouchable. If they intend to have it become an Austin/Vince-esque thing, we'll probably be seeing Stephanie get hers way more often than we're used to.
Lol at blaming "society" and "pc culture" when it's clearly Steph's massive ego and nothing else. If what you say were the case then they shouldn't have had Steph behave that way in the first place. But we know it isnt the case because Steph has acted the same way toward female superstars and they also never get over on her. She had a whole major storyline with both Bellas back when they were basically the top women in the company and Steph won the buildup, won the match, won the feud and never got her comeuppance :skip:

The whole thing doesn't even enrage me like it does a lot of fans, but don't make excuses for it. It's clear she's basically a hybrid of her dad's evil authority all up in the video mixed with her husband's insecure need to always put herself over.

Are we even sure Ronda is going over her at Mania? I'm not at all.

You cant please everyone all the time, but lumping everything in together for some IWC Strawman angle is also disingenuous. Roman Brock at Mania is something literally everyone knew was predictable af for years now, no one's hype for it and they're still doing it anyway.

The people in the crowds say otherwise when it comes to not liking Reigns? :mjlol: Are you being paid by WWE?

Btw your window for comparing "internet fans" and "people who actually go to shows" closed at least 5 years ago. Its 2018, there's no difference.

So you don't find it a lil' strange that many years ago, we saw Stephanie take moves from Austin, Rock, HHH, Jericho, Orton, Foley, even Vince... and probably many more... but in recent years, the only things that happened to her were "by accident" at the hands of Reigns and Rollins at the last two Manias? They don't do male-on-female violence on the show at all, and haven't in years. At least part of that likely has to do with the fact that people or advertisers would have a fit about it, like they do about EVERYthing.

I think that's a separate issue that you're trying to conflate with Steph's ego issue. PG era aside, the main difference now is she's in charge and not just an on-screen character.

I'm not clamoring for male on female violence, which is another reason she shouldn't be involved trying to shyt on the guys in the first place. But she won't even subject herself to a beatdown from a female superstar, because as we know, in the end it's all about her.

I didn't say 'liking' Reigns... I said 'give a shyt about' Reigns... oh they care... they go out of their way to show how much they care... if no one cared, he wouldn't get ANY reaction at all. His reactions would be like the Matt Hardy/Wyatt feud. Now where the WWE is dumb, is their refusal to turn the MF.

And just so you don't suspect I'm "being paid by WWE", I agree (and have said several times on here) that the repeated booking of Reigns as the heroic babyface/antihero/whateverthefukk is probably the most ridiculous thing WWE has done in recent years. Even when they didn't turn Cena, it made sense because Cena was still their top merch seller and kids had their parents spending money on tickets... I don't think there's much to be lost if they turn Roman. It'd be way easier to drop someone in Roman's spot than it was with Cena.

Let’s talk about Matt and bray. What the fukk is going there. I think at elimination chamber was the first time Matt looked something like broken Matt. But why won’t they let Matt do promos and shyt outside the ring. Why isn’t he a heel. Why are these promos so few words and a bunch of laughing. They aren’t telling a story by laughing at each other. That shyt posses me off cause this should be working and they are making Matt and the character look weak.

They should just put all the McMahon and any part time or returning star in the battle royal. At least we get rid of them all in one shot.:francis:

Exactly Steph goes over on male talent, woman, her brother etc and almost never gets whats coming to her. I haven’t been watching recently (but from what I’ve read) Rhonda has put hands on HHH and Steph has slapped her; but Steph still gets to skate. What happened to the spots back in the day where the chicken shyt heel would be grabbed by their and narrowly escape? Who does that help when Steph smacks Roman, Rollins, Rhonda (maybe its an R thing) and walks away unscathed.

Glad you bought up Bella angle which I forgot. Another angle where ‘won’.

And as I mentioned before at every turn she takes credit for the woman’s revolution. But wasn’t she in power when the women were booked in 5 minute bathroom break matches and AJ Lee was the one to call the WWE on their bullshyt.
