She has stans though. Same chicks who were going crazy over the SoundCloud tapes are going crazy over the album. The problem is it’s just them. Winning awards is supposed to bring in new - specifically older or/and whiter - fans. Nobody cared in her case.

I measure stans/popularity by how delusional they sound. For instance a lot of stans make their community sound like it’s some niche thing only a few prestigious people understand or are apart of. Kendrick stans will act like he didn’t go triple plat and only they listen to this “real” rapper. Nicki fans make themselves out to be some embattled resistance, fighting the slander hurled at poor Nicki. In HER’s case if you check twitter, her stans sound…pretty damn reasonable. Because unlike most artists she is actually an underdog and they’re kinda the exclusive group who only “understands” her lol. Normally stans want to make themselves sound unique when they really aren’t. In her case, they are.

Rappers have crazy legs for albums now though, if it’s a noteworthy release people like. Folks clowned the first week Durk/Lil Baby numbers yet it’s still doing big numbers weekly to this day. R&B can do the same if the product resonates or has a hit. I think she’s gonna slowly fall off the charts and if she goes gold it’ll be due to the single.
