So Fox (TV) has all the rights to Batman and every related character but decided to make "Gotham"

We have all of the underlying Batman rights for the entire franchise for this series. "That's what I like about this, it's not some sort of adjunct companion series. This is the Batman franchise, just backing it up. I think that gives it a real focus as to what the show is about and what stories we're telling. "Warner Brothers manages the entire franchise and its one of their top global franchises of all. So there will be an awareness of both and we'll have to coordinate when we're in the market place, but the productions are not piggy-backing off one another."

Once they finish up this show hopefully they will go that route. I think this came out before Daredevil but if I was Fox that would be my template for a young Bruce show in the future. Have him learning to fight and working on detective skills while trying to avoid Gordon, build the Wayne Empire, and juggle his personal life.

Fox could of made Gotham based on the Gotham central comic series. If they didn't want batman involve on the show much. They could just show glimpses of batman or just mention him on the show

Should've done a police procedural but set in the DC universe. Make the Batman family literally background characters. Show Gotham from the eyes of a rookie cop at the start of Batmans career and how his presence effected the bureaucracy from within.


The dark Knight did a great job at this.

Woulda been trash. Also, i'm glad they didnt' got with the actual batman. Woulda over saturated the batman market
