The 3rd Degree
i hate when yall do this :snoop:

Carr will never challenge anyone again for a starting role

McNabb will never challenge anyone again either but the problem is he still thinks he a starting caliber QB. THAT'S the problem. GM's and teams dont want to have to deal with McNabb sulking on the sidelines like a baby and making media frenzy comments talmbout he should be starting, etc

This. Also the fact that he's fukking trash and has been for a good 4 years now.

You nikkas need to stop trying to rep for any and ever black QB when it's obvious they're trash

McNabb should be the last QB this argument should be made for

b-bu-but David Carr is still in the league..:rudy:

Exactly.

I would've probably cosigned the argument if he said Culpepper back when he was still servicable, but McNabb is irrational about his current skill level and his first inclination is to throw coaches under the bus when he throws it into the dirt on a slant.

Does he have more talent than Matt Leinart? Yep, but Leinart won't be salty all season because he ain't playing.

Don't know about if he want to be a starter or not but, If McNabb was white and had this problem, the excuse would be" you should always feel like your the best at you position on the team. And if you don't feel that way you shouldn't be in the L."

I know I've head tht somewhere.

I never heard someone be applauded for excepting a bench role. They should always feel they are better.

Its same question of why Iverson couldnt get a gig. He thought he was a starter, the league says he is a backup.Iverson didnt wanna be a backup and his ass is out of the league. Same thing with Donovan.Didnt Shanahan say he was out of shape, runnning the 2 minute drill against Detroit in 2010? He actually ASKED for his release from the Vikings last year. The guy is done.Face it :jawalrus: ,Daunte and McNabb wont walk back thru them doors again. Its has nothing to do with race.More so actual play. They all suck their last year in the league. For all we know Andy Reid could have asked Donovan to come back as the 3rd string QB for the Eagles. The same way the Texans asked Jeff Garcia and Jake Delhomme to during the playoffs last year.

:laff:

Yeah. When my starting QB goes down, as a GM/Coach I don't want my backup to be able to win games, just be able to hand it off and know the offensive line schemes.

Don't challenge my starting QB and make him better, just hold the clipboard like we pay ya.

:childplease:

If your starting QB is good enough to possibly unseat your starter, that says more about your starter then, no? You want your starting QB to be so good that if he goes down, the quality of your QB goes down with it.

And if your backup QB is that good, he won't be your backup QB for very long anyway. But hey, the Jets did exactly that to Fez and they're getting roasted for it.

It's clearly Racism. LOL @ anyone trying to put it all on Mcnabb for the last 2 years. Washington Sucked period. Same with the Vikings, Mcnabb wasn't going to save them cause they had deeper problems. How did Washington Do the next year without Donovan? Exactly, Rex, Shanahan and his lame son flopped the whole season. The Vikings team was so terrible even Brett Farve tried to warn Donovan. The fact is people wanted Donovan to walk on water.

Donovan Mcnabb is better then a lot of QB's that have jobs now clearly. But the Black QB always is held to a different standard. Donovan is one of the winningest QB's in NFL History, his numbers are some of the best in NFL History in several categories including Regular Season and Playoff Wins. How many Trash White QB's are there on rosters right now? Take the Browns, when we (Eagles) played them in week 1, all I could think is "Wow, If Donovan was playing on the Browns, The Eagles would of lost". The fact is Donovan is still very capable to win in this league but people want to act like he's weak?, SMH. This article Ethers this whole thread and proves bar none that Race is the reason Donovan doesn't have a job:

White Quarterback II: Why Rex and Caleb are More Employable Than Donovan McNabb by Charles Modiano | The Starting Five

White Quarterback II: Why Rex and Caleb are more employable than Donovan Mcnabb

QUARTERBACK TOTAL WINS IN NFL HISTORY (REGULAR SEASON + PLAYOFFS)

1 Brett Favre 186 112 0 + 13 11= 199-123
2 John Elway 148 82 1 + 14 7 = 162-89-1
3 Dan Marino 147 93 0 + 8 10 = 155-103
4 Peyton Manning 142 67 0 + 9 10 = 151-77
5 Tom Brady 124 34 0 + 16 6 = 140-40
6 Joe Montana 117 47 0 + 16 7 = 133-54
7 Fran Tarkenton 124 109 6 + 6 5 = 130-114-6
8 Johnny Unitas 118 64 4 + 6 2 = 124-66-4
9 Terry Bradshaw 107 51 0 + 14 5 =121-56
10 Jim Kelly 101 59 0 + 9 8 = 110-67
11 Donovan McNabb 98 62 1 + 9 7 =107-69-1

Donovan's good enough to be on this list but he can't play anymore? GTFOH.

if u got a dude who u think is your franchise qb or a young rookie who u hoping is the franchise qb u dont nobody behind him that will cause problems if he start to struggle, u dont want to have to deal wit the dumb ass media, like is mcnabb was behind cutler, media outlets and shyt would be asking 100 dumbass questions to the players and coaches about mcnabb starting, basically would be a tebow situation, if u are a coach u dont want them type of distractions :yeshrug: every qb will have they up and downs, u dont want them out there fearing if they make one mistake they will be benched

Tebow has a job in a major market so that kills that statement. On top of it, Tebow has no resume and a fourth of the skillset but still has a job.

:beli:

Steve Young and Joe Montana. Steve Beuerlein made Troy Aikman great. Brady replaced Drew. You think Frank Reich didn't keep Jim Kelly extra sharp.

Ask super Joe how he feel about Steve DeBerg and Plunkett won a freaking ship.

Organizations that suscribe to what you're preaching are shytty organizations and will always be because they subscribe to new age political correctness

Tebow's a backup here for 3 reasons:

1. off the field money making opportunities

2. to light a fire under Fez' ass

3. off the field money making opportunities.

Not unless he's ready to accept that backup role, and in his last job, he proved that he wasn't. So why is this even an issue? I'm all for callin' mufukkas out on some 'cism, but come on. Dude is done unless he's willing to play the back.

fukk, did you watch his last season in Washington?

Donovan McNabb aint trying to BE a backup, so what are we discussing?:manny:

Yes. He would be a great back up QB for alot of teams (he's better than Byron Leftwich and Charlie "John Legend" Batch), but he still wants to be a starting QB in the NFL.

If he aint willing to be a back up, why bring him in then? We seem the same thing happen with AI and not wanting to be a back up. It doesnt work.
