I understand that everybody is getting their giggles off of this, but it was a legit question.

The draft has been suspect for YEARS and the circumstances of the Hornets purchase, combined with the league's shady dealings in regard to player personnel moves aka "basketball reasons" makes everything all the more fishy. Stern has no transparency, he is not made to answer to anybody, it all stops with him.

So please stop acting like the draft being fixed is some absurd fantasy, because we all no it's NOT!

It's a dumb question just for the fact that Jim knows what the answer is. Why ask a question when you know what the answer is? Unless you want to piss someone off which is Jim Rome's style. Stern was right in dropping that ether.

In theory it's a good question.

In reality it's a useless question. No matter how much evidence of a fixed lottery piles up, Stern would kill the NBA if he ever justified that question with a response, yes or no. A no puts it in people's minds that it could be fixed (Why else would he answer such an unusual, "silly" question), and a yes obviously indicts him.

So could he have given a response that would've stopped the conspiracy theories?

I'm no Rome fan, but it is some bullshyt that now he has thousands of people that think he is a wife beater now because they didn't understand the exchange

Stern needs to publicly apologize to clear the air, you can't have people thinking that, that is some serious shyt
