You don't think a question everybody asks him is fair for Rome to ask him?
Also Rome said he expected Stern just to make the notion that there was a fix rediculous with a good answer.
Really though, I'm sure Romey Rome's show was not the ultimate platform that Stern chose to "set the record straight" about any kind of lottery fix. I mean, Rome has to know that he's not the first guy to ask Stern right? He's not breaking any news here. But if he can get just ANYTHING slightly controversial from Stern's mouth, its a win for him and his show.
And like many others have mentioned, "is the fix in?" is a fukked up question. Dude could have said lots of rumors going around that the lottery was fixed, I don't believe it is, but if you wanna speak on that go ahead. If Stern chooses to dismiss it, then just keep it moving to the next topic.
I don't buy it that Rome was just trying to lob softballs at Stern to knock out the park. Stern could have handled it differently, but Rome acting like he HAD to ask, nah.
If he was interviewing Obama, he COULD still ask if Obama was a legal US Citizen, but it serves no purpose.
