if this happened in the office, they would shut down work for a few days and counsel people. I know the jobs arent the same, but these athletes are people too. There is probably still blood around the spot he got shot, ffs.

It would be one thing if the entire incident happened at his home, but it happened at the facilities and he talked to team personnel.

They're not being forced to....they WANT to.

Pretty sure if the league was FORCING the players to play, and the players didn't WANT to play and/or thought the game shouldn't proceed, then the game wouldn't be going forward.

These same dudes that voted to play are the same cats that the NFL takes away their decision to play when they get concussion. Their natural instinct will always be to play that's all they know. Football has been coached that way to them since grade school. It you hurt, whether it's mentally or physically you play on, but sometimes management gotta protect people from themselves.

I'm not saying you gotta cancel the game, but give them a day or two to deal with the grief a little bit. A one time exemption to move a game to Tuesday isn't gonna hurt sales at all. They can play in primetime on Tuesday and they'd get prime billing.

You know damn well there would be a thread up in here and we'd all be watching it because we'd wanna know how the team would play after this craziness and so would everyone else. They'd have casual fans tuning in because this is one of those stories that goes beyond the sports page. They'd have an interview with Pioli and maybe Crennel at halftime. Whichever network would try to paint ole boy in a positive light even though he shot his BM and offed himself because the players will have done some sort of tribute.

Tragedy attracts viewers. Tell me I'm wrong. I know I ain't.

I think they should at least get a day. It wouldn't be the first time the NFL has had a double header on Monday. I only said Tuesday because I bet ESPN would protest it.
