Marvin Hagler...

Only took one KD in his career and it shouldn't have counted as he was off balance...

According to several victims when Tommy Hearns hit you with that right hand your brain shutdown and your mamma felt that shyt to...

When Hearns hit Marvin with it, hit him so hard he broke his right hand and Marvin didn't even flinch...

Marvin bout with Mugabi is to date one of the most brutal fights I have even seen and it was the reason Ray Leonard bytchass chose to finally man up and fight Marvin...He knew Marvin wasn't the same after that fight...

Shout out to John Mugabi chin to, if you haven't seen this fight I strongly encourage you to...

i never believed there was ever really such a thing as chin just that some fighters anticipate and roll with the direction of the shot better and do not leave there chin up. i never really thought there was such a thing as power either, only accuracy and a combination of catching fighters with their head in bad position such as when fighters get caught in the middle of trying to throw a punch which is what almost every true ko always results from. its extremely rare for a ko to not come during the sequence of another fighter trying to throw a punch at that exact same time which tells me that chin is not a function of being born with special traits but a perfect storm of factors revolving around positioning and timing

That's an interesting take. So then fighters with a "good chin" should actually get more credit for being smart. Repped you.

And John Mugabi was hitting him with bombs and he didn't go down once.

Only got knocked down once in his career (against Rolden) and that wasn't even a legit knockdown. So in my mind, he's never touched the canvas.

Another guy with a great chin was Hector Macho Camacho. He took beatings from the likes of Roberto Duran, Oscar De La Hoya, Julio Cesar Chavez, Tito Trinidad, Edwin Rosario, and Ray Mancini. And he never got stopped. Not sure he even ever got knocked down.

How did neither one of them drop in Round 6 breh :merchant:

Forrest shouldve got Mosley out there round 2:camby:

ODH wouldve finished that fight:heh:

Forrest was a big fighter and big swinger but his power failed him at the elite level, I never saw someone crack so many nikkas with flush shots thudding shots, and they simply walk through his shyt....A Rlite level trainer couldve fixed forrest, his right hand was a laser but seemingly always threw it with his left foot forward a timid defensive stance rather than a confident, wanting to sit down and inflict power stance....Even his uppercuts where thrown from a wide stance, but crowd him with that wide stance and you'll see he throws ducks in the trench and you are able to walk through them, see Mayorga

James Toney - Im watching his career from the beginning right now, im about 25 fights deep. I've already seen all his fights a few times, just one of the toughest dudes in general to ever step into a boxing ring.

If he came around now instead of the late 80's i think he'd walk right through all these middleweights. And he did keep that great chin up until the 2nd Sam Peters fight but he was fighting injured getting caught with punches he usually wouldnt get caught with. He needed surgery a week after that fight

Pernell Whitaker - Wasnt the hardest guy to knock down but I think Trinidad was the only guy to hurt an old, coke sniffin Whitaker. Sweet Pete was a tough mean little guy. Most people dont think of Pernell when they think of great chins and most of the boxers already mentioned are probably ahead of him but he deserves his respect. Pernell got robbed against chavez SR and in my opinion he beat a young De La Hoya. Lets not forget up until Whitaker, most of Oscars opponents were knocked out including Chavez Sr
Pernell won a,fight with a broken jaw I think. Tough guy
