At that point he didnt care, and like he said to Mcnulty he was just tired.
both him and deangelo were tired and instead of restarting their lives they went down the destructive path anyways

is that the hood mentality at its finest?

Bodie died like a pawn:mjcry:

"If i make it to the end, I'm top dog?"

"Nah, it don't work like that"

:mjcry:

When Bodie was shooting in his final scene, he took once step forward & shot side to side, like how a pawn moves when they fight (D'angelo even showed him in the chess scene),
Chris & Snoop come at him diagonally like Bishops & when O-Dog steps out & kills Bodie, he walks straight & turns left, exactly like how a Knight moves.

:wow:

GOAT show my breddas.
:dwillhuh: where I can rewatch this series brehs??? is it still on hbo on-demand?

Bodie represented union man who just wants to work. He does his job well, because its all he knows. That's why he is bailed out by Stringer in season 2(1?). But to work, you need someone to work for. And businesses rise and fall while working men are hired and fired.

Eventually, that guy gets screwed in the same way Bodie did. No matter how good you are at your job, an employee is just an employee. When you make it to retirement you dont become an owner, youre just a retired worker. When you make it to the end of your organizations time, yea, you have your own corner(youre a queen now) but still just a pawn.

Its crazy how when I watched this show growing up I identified with Bodie the most, and as a young adult I cant relate to him at all. Still love the character/acting though.
