bodie and marlo are both local cats, they do this job because it's all they know. marlo is more traumatized and thus a savage and is power hungry, bodie just likes to run a corner and stay outta the bullshyt, he's not politically-minded in the least. that's why he got so angry when they killed kev, because "they were killin them just to do it". all that was not necessary in his mind as long as there were corners, fiends, and packages. the thought of him crossing charles st to roll with east side dudes would NEVER occur to him, because he wasn't in it for power or wealth.
Well, yeah, that's what I was saying. He had been in it too long for all that nonsense. He was young but he was a veteran by the time he died. I have to think dude had better survival instincts than he displayed. He should have made the switch. For someone so well versed in the game, and heartless enough to kill his so called best friend, he shouldn't have been so emotional. By the time Marlo got hemmed up by the courts, Bodie should have been seen in those final scenes of season 5 stepping back on the West Side. Not necessarily a boss like Avon, Marlo, or Prop Joe etc, but someone who survived the wrath of Marlo and respected as such.

Bodie died like a pawn:mjcry:

"If i make it to the end, I'm top dog?"

"Nah, it don't work like that"

:mjcry:

When Bodie was shooting in his final scene, he took once step forward & shot side to side, like how a pawn moves when they fight (D'angelo even showed him in the chess scene),
Chris & Snoop come at him diagonally like Bishops & when O-Dog steps out & kills Bodie, he walks straight & turns left, exactly like how a Knight moves.

:wow:

GOAT show my breddas.

:ohhh:

at the end of the day though, Marlo was scared somewhat respected Bodie

Big paws on a puppy

If Bodie had the power Marlo had, Bodie would have had no problems going to war and putting five slugs in Marlo's head. He wasn't scared of him whatsoever. He just didn't have the power to go up against Marlo. He was a corner boy still.

If he had rolled with Slim Charles and Prop Joe, he'd still be alive though :mjcry:

Just because I don't agree with you doesn't mean I ignored what you wrote. Dude was too well versed in the game. But he was subject to mistakes due to irrational emotions and it cost him his life. That simple.
