That's a little different though because Greece and Rome are the foundations of western white civilization. Egypt isn't responsible for a homogeneous cultural identity in Africa because one doesn't exist. Egypt was unique unto itself.

In my opinion that's splitting hairs because Egypt just like Rome and Greece had significant influence over the cultures they came in contact with, but none of those cultures were solely based on their principles and ideologies. Western Europe has been in contact with Africans and Asiatics for thousands of years before the advent of Greece and Rome.

But my central point was that people like to claim those two civilizations despite having nothing to do with them besides being on the same continent, yet berate Africans who do the same with Egypt. It's hypocrisy no matter how you want to slice it.
