A collective :snoop: from every Afghan because we all understand all too clearly what happened

This war was kept extended for over a decade just for certain individuals to make a killing off it

There was no logic to this from an Afghan or American national interest perspective

Kept the Taliban out for 12 yrs, hunting the down just to sit Down with them.

Laughable if not disgusting

it took 12 years because bush took his eye off the ball and went to iraq and it took obama to correct, and the bottom line is that those negotiations will not put the taliban back in power and that is the #1 american national interest

it would have been retarded for the americans to negotiate a "power sharing agreement" with the taliban 5 or 10 years ago

Its just reality, it's not like you can pretend that the Taliban don't exist. We've tried to negoiate with them for years to some affect, its smart not stupid.

:manny: we not dealing with the old Taliban, we dealing with the younger smarter generation. Commanders that had training in Pakistan, Iran, Syria etc. How you think the US death rate rose so high? These nikkas using flanking maneuvers, artillery from local mortar teams, their snipers are hitting ISA troops from damn near half a mile and its not foreign fighters, home grown training and some of them got train from the ANA.

Too keep it real we never went hard on AQ, it was mainly the old taliban. After a quick hitaus and when we left to fight in Iraq, they regrouped, got training etc. Got no choice but to talk with them

the ANA is in no shape to fend off the taliban. The taliban offers better pay and training than the US or any of their friends can offer. Who you gonna side with? :mjpls:

There isnt any crisis, the afghan army is ok, they are not great, they are not bad, but they are ok for what they are suppose to do

If you want to see what the Afghanistan army will look like look at Iraq

fukk no, not even close. I've been to Iraq and am in Afghanistan right now in a role which deals directly with the Afghan National Army.

Fuk no to what? You think the Iraq army was better than the afghan army?

The afghan army has been doing what it's suppose to do, and they are in charge of security regardless of any problems they may have, the afghan army doesn't have to be in tip top shape to do what it's suppose to do

So now you're contesting the account of a dude who's seen both situations firsthand? :comeon:

Don't dig yourself any deeper, bruh. Everyone's wrong sometimes.

im not discounting anything it all, ive said the afghan army suks, but an army can suk and still accomplish its overall strategic goal and security has already been handed over to the afghan army, the afghan army can have a million tactical and logistical problems and still accomplish its overall strategic goal

and like i said, if you simply wanted to end the war, negotiating a power sharing agreement could have been done 5 or 10 years ago, but that would not be in america's strategic interest

i dont even get what it is you guys are seeing, but in afghanistan things are going the way its suppose to be going from an american strategic pov, the handover is going on as scheduled, and if anybody kept it with this you would know this taliban negotiations where coming VP Biden Says that ‘The Taliban, Per Se, Is Not Our Enemy’ - ABC News

and these are not negotiations to hand over afghanistan to the taliban, its just a way to get the taliban back in their caves/mosques where they belong, there is no ending where the taliban will get back in power

That's exactly what I'm saying. They're both lazy, but the Iraqis had better discipline and don't like to get high as much.
