So all that crap about Luck being more "pro ready" than RGIII was based on race?

When you're a rookie playing against your first taste of NFL competition on the road and you throw for 300 yards no turnovers and a win that IS something to brag about..

Stop being a hater...

He didn't just "put up points"... He had the best QB rating in the entire league yesterday...

:rudy:

Im not hating. Im saying yall nikkas are trying to give Luck shyt because RG3 played well against one of the worst defenses in the league who was missing 2 of their best players. This shyt is absurd. If he couldnt play well against them then the skins would have really been in trouble.

Ill make my judgment after he plays a D as good as the Bears. Its the only way to be fair.

in all honesty rex DID beat out mcnabb

Oh yeah no doubt.

Like I said McNabb was washed up the last 2 years. He's my dude and all but he looked horrible. SOme people never want to admit that their favorite player just doesnt have it anymore. I cant blame them cause I was the same way too at some point like during Dan Marino's last few years. I swear when they cut Marino I was driving around Dolphins practice facility in Davie hoping to run Dave Wannstedt over with my moms car. :russ:

RG3 played better than Luck yesterday period...Stop making excuses...

Nobody is gonna try to temper Peyton's success lastnight by mentioning how Clark and Harrison didn't play..

Since when does this happen?

Disgusting..

He also played a terrible defense while Luck played a pretty damn good one. Why cant you wait until he plays a decent D until you suck his dikk?

Actually during the game last night they were mentioning how many players the Steelers were missing. So there goes that point.

i wouldn't say it was entirely based on race. partly? you better believe it.

i'm old enough to remember the blatant bigotry against black qb's.

it doesn't end with black qb's either. just look at the coaching situation. they had to implement a rule for minority coaches to even get an interview.

how many fukkin' shanahan's, schottenheimer's, kiffin's and other coaches kid's must there be in the system before it is obvious to see?

nevertheless, the system is changing, albeit not as fast as i would like.

we could extend this point even further by the way minority players are treated by the media in general, across all sports.

Do you know how many rookie qb's suck against any damn NFL defense. Being a rookie qb in your first game and balling like that is something special. No matter if they are playing Detroit or Pittsburgh. You are crazy if you think Brandon Weeden or Tanneyhill would have games like that against the Saints.

I kid you guys not. Im taking a class for my job and a young lady (she's black) is writing her topic on "Black Quarterbacks". My professor said "Cam Newton is legally dumb". Im not one to speak on race al lthe time and pull the card but let that quote sink in. OP isnt far off.

their offenses aren't as good as the Redskins but i do think Luck's offense could have put some numbers on them.

This isnt about Weeden, Tannehill, or whoever else you want to discuss. This is about Luck and RG3. I cant make any determination on if Luck is or is not more "pro ready" than RG3 after 1 game, esp. when the 1 game featured one of the worst defenses in the league.

Thats what im saying. If Luck had played well against the Saints and RG3 struggled against the Bears i would be saying the exact same thing!

When it comes to coaching its a non-issue when it comes to us.We are getting more and more opportunities. Black Offensive Coordinator not as much. But Its crazy how over last 25 years only 3 black QB's played in the Super Bowl.

Amendment to an earlier statement made by scouts and NFL insiders...Andrew Luck is "more NFL ready" to play against inferior defenses.. If he would have played the Saints he would have thrown for 400 yards, with 95% completion percentage and put up 50...

:ld:

Yesterday proved nothing...

african americans are getting more of an opportunity to coach now because of the rooney rule (which needs to exist, btw).

it's still an issue, breh. now what they are doing is bringing in black coaches just to fill the requirement. from nfl head coaching all the way down to the collegiate level, it is still a problem.

look at the amount of minority players within the football system compared to the amount of minorities in coaching positions, it will make it easier to see.

You guys got to realize this.WE are still minorities. There will always be more white head coaches then us.Always will be! Face it not many of us growing up WANT to be coaches. Hell there is only 1 black offensive coordinator in the whole league (Hue Jackson). We defensive coordinators and linebacker coaches, yet when it comes to leadership (Owners of teams,General Managers,Quarterbacks)There are few of us. Coaches is the only area of progress. Crennel,Lewis,Smith,Tomlin,Frazier,Rivera (He spanish but still a minority and brotha in the struggle lol) etc
