The stoop with dat dope fanny padding
I think brehs need to state their stance on the goal.

Do you actually believe Kyrie's acquisition WILL mean a future championship within the next 5 years?

If not, do you actually believe Kyrie's acquisition will keep us competitive enough to provide enjoyable playoff series that'll leave lasting memories?

If not, then, do you believe that he'll be a piece that will be good to build around and the sacrifice of picks won't hurt the rebuild that will still be needed when he's here?

State your stance so brehs can't backtrack later.

I just need competitive ball. So, I want him, but I want Frank and I don't think we are being realistic about how other team offers will force is to give up the farm.

We do have the leverage in the sense that LeBron is not going to be okay with just young pieces. He wants another crack at the finals THIS YEAR.

So a Melo and incentives might be pressured to be taken by Bron if Melo is okay with it.

Melo can opt out next year too so even if LEbron leaves, he wouldn't be stick in Cleveland.

You're right... Melo frank and picks is a short sighted band aid move that does nothing but put you in the middle of the pack and then kyrie probably walks anyways

Why is New York so against doing a legit rebuild for two years?

That was :duck: not with guys like LeBron, KD, and Kobe in the league :shaq2:
He was definitely amongst the best, to say the least. Melo was a beast up until a few years ago, just bullying nikkas moving them out the way

People had said he was the most versatile scorer in the league too, i think that was more accurate

The quest some of you are on to give "smart, fresh, takes" has you typing pure craziness. :gucci: @ not wanting to trade for Kyrie freaking Irving so you can keep an 18 year old because he has freakishly long arms. His game blows nobody away, but them arms tho!

Let me show what some of yall are doing so hopefully it can stop now. What yall are proposing is akin to us having a chance to land a prime Dirk Nowitzki in 06, but naaaaaah, our #8 pick Channing Frye is a great shooting big man.

:stopitslime:

Feel like slapping yourself now?

Good. Do it and let's never speak of this again.

Among the best but not the best. Don't think he was more versatile than KD or Kobe either.

I dont know about KD but i agree about Kobe. Ive never seen a player with so many moves :wow:
KD could score in any way midpost, three pointers, transition, cuts, and was a much better slasher. 50/40/90 season, four scoring titles, has actually averaged 30 a game. It's not debatable. Melo was a top 5 scorer, never the best, he just had a smooth game.

Yeah i see your point and cant say your wrong

Melo was just such a beast around the rim in his prime, he was a really good offensive rebounder. KD could never bully nikkas like Carmelo did, but KD was better at probably everything else

Yeah Melo post game was a beast. The year he played the 4 for us he was getting at everyone in the paint but the better centers in the league

Melo's finishing in the paint has been weak just about his whole tenure on the Knicks the bully ball and offensive board putbacks off misses got nikkas fooled

Once Melo gained weight around '09 he lost a ton of bounce and lost efficiency at the basket

I'm not sacrificing our future on a player who's on a 2yr deal that can bail on after his deal is up.

Like I said, they can have melo and frank or melo and a future protected first rounder. But I'm not giving up melo, frank and future first rounders to an unproven player who's never won more than 30 games being the number 1 option. He's not a top 10 player, but he's easily in the 15-20 range. Just don't get desperate and giver away the whole farm. You can have any of the 3 trades below.

Melo and willy
Melo and frank
Melo and a future protected first rounder
Lmao you cant call kyrie unproven and then bring up Frank and unknown future draft picks lol

Fat Iverson never disappeared when it mattered the most. Kyrie went ghost in Bron in the finals. nikka showed up when the series was already over:russ:. Put current melo on the cavs last year and I bet they steal at least 2 games. Kyrie not on melo level, period. Melo confidence never waivers, kyrie was shook them first 2 games.
U just gonna forget how kyrie played the year before in the finals or nah

We know what we get with kyrie and it's not enough to make a deep run in the playoffs. I would rather get 2-3 young players from draft picks and develop them for the next 4-5yrs with frank and KP and then compete.
