Other people writing for Snoop doesn't bother me at all. Snoop always have credit where credit was due and like was said before he basically did it to put his homies on
What bothers me is when credit isn't given to those that deserve it, the ghost writers and ghost producers
Yeah outside of my favorite color which was recorded in 96 or possibly late 95 produced by lt hutton its another DF scrap what i find strange is that he mentions too black during the course which leads me to believe that this version was done before too blacc and is possible why it hasnt appeared on any of the drafts i seen thus far, I know 187 appears on the chorus and tweaked the OG beat slightly like he did with county blues.

The only tracks that were retouched on dmw were head doctor c walkin and my favorite color all the songs stayed in there complete original form minus the movie clip intros. How many of those tracks on DMW were touched by 187 afterwards ?
I know the original of "C-Walkin" is a bit different for example

What do you mean? Like all the ones recorded for doggfatherSo can we collect all those dmw tracks in one post (minus the ones that are already on my tracklist) ?

out of the songs on the list all were present on early drafts and tracklists for Doggfather but the very last songs to be cut right before the albums release were: C walkin, too blacc and county blues.I'll edit the infos for the rest of all the tracks done/recorded for/around the time of the album.
I think all the DMW songs were around that time/supposed to be for Doggfather.
The infos I'd need would be:
-C Walkin- OG version samples beastie boys paul revere was released on smokefest 96 album was on the final retail tracklist for DF but took off weeks before release later remixed by 187 for DMW. OG produced by LT and snoop mixed by pooh.
-Hit Rocks- recorded in 95 was the first song recorded for DF and was intended to be the first single according to dr dre in a source 95 award pre show interview, song can also be heard on dpg gangstas outro from doggfood. Released in OG form on dmw but rerecorded and remixed by quik in 99 for top dogg album.
-Tommy Boy-released on smokefest 96 recorded and present on all drafts and early tracklists until snoop started new sessions in sept 96 produced by daz and features him along with soopafly.
-Too Black-produced by LT present on all drafts and tracklists for DF but was removed a month prior to release along with head doctor a snippet can be heard on intro to groopie.
-Gangsta Walk-Ft Doggpound was on early drafts for DF but was replaced by C walkin later on then moved to doggumentary ep then released on DMW produced by daz.
-County Blues- rerecorded in 96 for DF produced by daz, originally was in the albums retail presequence until snoop replaced it during the new sessions in sept 96, later released on DMW in OG form.
-My Favorite Color-not much known about this track except its an possible early "draft" of too blacc produced by lt was retouched by 187 for dmw.
I'll post them in batches depending on the album/compilation they appeared on

I liked both versions of c walkin but the og has that classic deathrow sound and was sorely missed on the retail it woulda fit perfect in place of freestyle conversation.C-Walkin was dope, especially liked the lyrics that was old school snoop gangster rap shyt
Did you like the original or the dmw version better ?
BTW: Theres an original version of "County Blues" from a bootleg of "Over the counter" (I bet you already heard it) with just 6 tracks on it, originally snoop recorded that song towards the end of the 80s when he was still underground over the "Pay Ya Dues" instrumental.
On the dmw version he changed some of the lyrics and used another beat.
The OG Version is far superior for me tho, the dmw song is cool as well

I heard the over the counter version before but i liked the Doggfather/Dmw version better it has a mtwc vibe like a part 2.
Lyrically like a part 2 because mtwc song ends with snoop in jail and county blues picks up where it left off and the beat is dark.Would be amazing to get all of them "Over the counter" tracks
The dmw version was cool, no doubt but I dont see it having a mwtc like vibe
