Hot 97 is terrible with their breakdowns. They completely disrespected DMX during their mock battle with Jay Z, and made their 50 Cent versus Ja Rule mock battle basically just be a Ja Rule roast. I was never a Ja fan but he had undeniable hits and features and they totally lowballed him and DMX. Some of the songs they were nodding their head to, especially Rosenberg, was stuff that no one who was actually outside would be getting hyped over

I thin the whole notion that X was awarded wins due to East Coast bias is bogus. This had nothing to do with region. I do think some of those rounds they awarded to X were suspect to say the least, but X NEEDED the win more than Snoop. This is the biggest look X has gotten in years and he's been working on new music and needs the hype and this battle probably inspired him seeing all the support he's gotten from it.

He was awarded some bias wins though. I'm glad he did well and I've probably purchased more dmx albums than snoop's. But nikkas doing shyt like putting his intro over deep cover or nikkas done started something over doggy Dogg world is laughable to me.
