Tha Doggfather is heavily underrated. People were expecting some type of Doggy Style sound instead they got a lot of funk sounds. Plus its hard to follow up a classic like Doggy Style.

You could make an entire album of Doggfather Leftovers and it would be better than Tha Doggfather. This is what I came up with:

1. Snoop Doggy Dogg - Gangsta'z Life (6:16)
2. Snoop Doggy Dogg - Definition of a Homeboy (3:49)
3. Snoop Doggy Dogg - Touchdown (feat. Threat) (4:26)
4. Snoop Doggy Dogg - Word On Tha Streets (feat. LBC Crew) (5:30)
5. Snoop Doggy Dogg - Pop Bloccin' (feat. Rappin' 4-Tay) (4:11)
6. Snoop Doggy Dogg - Biz, Daz, and Dogg (feat. Biz Markie and Daz Dillinger) (7:21)
7. Snoop Doggy Dogg - Eastside Party (feat. Nate Dogg) (5:20)
8. Snoop Doggy Dogg - Head Doctor (feat. Raphael Saadiq) (5:27)
9. Snoop Doggy Dogg - Eastsiderz (feat. Tray Deee and Daz Dillinger) (6:16)
10. Snoop Doggy Dogg - Get In 2 Dis (feat. Charlie Wilson) (5:03)
11. Snoop Doggy Dogg - Too High (Poly High) (feat. Daz Dillinger, The Twinz, and Big Pimpin') (5:11)
12. Snoop Doggy Dogg - Dogg Collar (feat. Bad Azz, Big Pimpin', and Val Young) (5:03)
13. Snoop Doggy Dogg - Street Life (feat. Prince Ital Joe) (5:21)
14. Snoop Doggy Dogg - Keep It Real (feat. Mack 10, LBC Crew, Kurupt, and Threat) (5:00)
15. Snoop Doggy Dogg - Funk with Ya Brain (Outro) (feat. Manallia Franklin and KV) (2:32)

Snoop been ass since I was like 11. I’m 37 now, 🤷🏽‍♂️. And he don’t (and didn’t) write his ish. And his content always and forever been trash. Nah man, somebody gotta retroactively kinda gotta get Snoop tf outta here. I respect the name and legacy just like you do…wackness gotta get addressed tho no matter who it is…or else you eatin meat, 🧆. Bruh spent his entire career tryna make you wanna be a crip, a pimp then a fake Rasta…nig lowkey offensive. But I digress, y’all go head on talkin bout whatever y’all was talkin about…everything besides Doggystyle is the worst…idc that don’t make sense
I wouldn't go that far, but I hear you.

snoop has good to great songs on all his albums honestly. The issue is when you come out the gate with Chronic and Doggystyle everything else has to match that. 2. He never had dre executively produce an album of his again.

It's a shame he was cool with it being just another No Limit album because there's some heat he had in 1998 that would have made the album 10x better had the tracks been put on Da Game instead of Soundtracks/remaining in the vault

he had to appease percy, Percy bought him out his deal so he had a say on what the album was about, this formula was working which is the reason why Snoop signed in the first place. Once that album was successful then he was able to make a Snoop album

Gotta go with tha doggfather. I've went back to that album many times it's a dud through and through. But as a huge snoop fan I'm going to always say his discography is kinda slept on. You can only make Doggystyle once because it's a once in a lifetime classic. So nothing he could ever do could touch it. But after the 1st NL album he found his groove for about 10 more yrs afterwards. Those early to mid 2000s albums were very good to great imo but so many ppl held him to the standard of Doggystyle that they just wrote him off even tho he was going "Real Platinum" up until around 08. And kept making hits. Dude stayed with a big hit for yrs.
