Honestly, the only Snoop albums I fuk with are Doggystyle, Tha Doggfather, and No Limit Top Dogg.
Tha Doggfather is underrated imo sure when it came out during Death Row's prime, the reception was lukewarm, considering it's right after Doggystyle, but in retrospect, it's a pretty good album with some gems. This album, along with Lady of Rage's Necessary Roughness and Daz's Retaliation, Revenge, and Get Back, plus the soundtracks (Gang Related and Gridlock'd) were among Death Row's underrated “swan song” releases as the label was on its last leg.
No Limit Top Dogg is another underrated Snoop album. I'm not a fan of Snoop's time with No Limit as I didn't think his cadence, flow, etc fit with Southern production styles, and the rappers on No Limit didn't compliment his style in comparison to his West Coast counterparts but I feel like this was the best album he made under P's label because it sounds like a real West Coast record compared to Da Game is To Be Sold, which was a disaster.
I've always thought about revisiting Snoop's catalog but I feel most of it is not very good or worth the time outside of a few “here and there” cuts. It's hard for me to pick which is his worst since I don't review his catalog often, but I'd say outside of Top Dogg, his time with No Limit was his worst stretch of albums overall and he rebounded after departing the label.
